Edwards on a Suter/BMW in 2012

So he's not going to be on the Forward Racing bike because Tech3 can't/wont get them a chassis ready in time for testing:

He certainly doesn't sound too hopeful about his prospects for the season "we probably won’t be competitive at the first race and probably not at the last race"...

"At the beginning I just said we’d run a Yamaha engine and a Tech 3 chassis because that was my way of putting some pressure on some guys and they obviously didn’t give a .... what I thought because they said no. I got a couple of guys against me on the European side at Yamaha, but at the end of the day it will be BMW/Suter.

You gotta love Edwards. Does this mean his lifelong relationship with Yamaha is strained.

Who is it at YME that Edwards says put the kabosh on his original plans to ride a Yamaha engined bike? He has mentioned them twice now without naming names.

"And Yamaha U.S., especially, have been golden; they've been so unbelievably overboard. I don't know if that's the right word to accommodate any situation that might arise. The comments I made were obviously directed not at YME but two particular entities that are at YME. And I don't think either one of them would empty their bladder on me if I was on fire. So those are the two - whatever comments you heard - there's two there and they know who they are. So I don't really need to name names or do that, but they know who they are."

Hahaha, he pretty much called them out. He said they were Euros. I'm sure it will come out soon enough.
