I've been reading that Edwards had a major moment & near off in Qatar. This didn't appear to get shown on TV, has anyone got a link to any footage or pics of this please?

Do you remember where you read that statement? I don't remember him making a mistake, most of the race he wasn't even shown on TV since he fell down the grid though.

didn't see anything. All the footage I saw was pretty much concentrated on the four running at the front. I didn't even see a replay of capirossi's fall till well after the race. So if Colin had a wobble I doubt anyone put it on air.

I can't remember where, but I did read it too. It was Edwards comments about the race. Ha allmost went out quite early between lap 3 to 6.

From the Official Yamaha website email, they haven't updated the site yet, so I can't provide a link. But luckily it was still in my deleted box:

Colin Edwards
Position: 6th
Time: +18.647
"I spun off the line on the dirty part of the track and so my start wasn't great, which was annoying. I had a bit of a feeling just before we went out that we would be slower in the first few laps as the tyre was going to take time to heat up and unfortunately that was the case; I just couldn't push hard enough in those vital first few laps. Anyway after that I was holding pace okay and thought I could stay with the top group but then I had a near crash on lap seven or eight coming into turn seven, to the extent when I was holding the bike up on my knee and elbow! I somehow figured out how to get it back up after 30 metres but we lost quite a bit of time. From then on my rhythm was okay and honestly the race as a whole wasn't so bad, but the tyre felt a bit greasy and I was lacking some front grip, which was strange after it had been perfect all weekend. We definitely need more power - that was obvious today, so that's priority number one for Yamaha I guess! Anyway, we've learnt a lot this weekend so let's go forward from here."

I can't find it anywhere else.

Sounds spectacular, I would have liked to have seen it

It's not that uncommon, we've seen rossi do it before, and you don't need to be a proffesional either. I know at least three guys who did the same. Well, one hit a crack in the asphalt with his knee, the slider momentarily hooked and there he was on the wheels again. The other did a slow lowside and described almost like edwards. "F I'm not going down here" and he didn't, but the scrachmarks on the bodywork and his leathers clearly told their storry

Do you guys remember Melandri doing that last year at Donington where he actually was off the bike and pushed it up again with his knee.

that was scary, for s plit second i thought his wrist was gonna get a whole lot worse.

I don't think edwards' moment will be very visualy spectacular if it has been captured. But that interview is nice and honest, its just a bit oof a long winded way of saying "i didn't ride fast enough" or "my name is colin edwards"
