Goodmorning to everyone first of all!
The race lived up to our expectations, until almost the end!
Well done to Vale,of course, but to Dani also, because without him we would have a 2007-StonerGetaway-race!
It seems like Yam is up there again.
I waited for this track, because top speed was a MAJOR matter in 2007 for Yamaha.
Beating the Duke by 15 seconds on HIS track, may be a sign of things to come!
The championship is wide open...LOVE that!
Lorenzo a HERO..hat's off!

I think the race might give HRC the hurry up with their new engine.

I thought pedrobot and Nicky got new 2008 specs already, the rest still with 2007 bike

and Honda is not going to have pneumatic valve system ?

The pneumatic valve engine was supposed to be tested after protugal but was delayed because they can't get the delivery as smooth as they want yet. The spring valved motor isn't slow but Dani can't afford to keep losing points. Apparently its being tested after Le Mans now

I don't think its gonna be much faster... remember yamaha's design means the pneumatic valve gave them a decent boost.

Will be better on the juice tho.

Correct, I remember on one of the recent Eurosport broadcasts, the commentator that usually talks about the technical side of racing (can't remember his name) mentioned that the pneumatic just helps close the valve faster. So when at high revs, when both valves are open for a moment, the faster closing pneumatic will help save a bit on fuel mixture that would be blown out the exhaust. I would reason that saving a bit on fuel will allow for the system to use it for a bit more power.

The much learned, Neil Spalding
