It has been brought to my attention that these MotoGP four stroke machines are extremely loud. Don't get me wrong because I love loud engines, but in an article at www.superbikeplanet.com they have recommended bringing sets of ear plugs to the track. Seeing as how some of you have been to the races and seen and heard these things in person, are ear plugs necessary? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Nah..................soak up the sound my man & enjoy!!

I'm sure you will have a superb time

............where are you again, on the corkscrew?.................

I am going to be everywhere, Friday I will be wandering the vendor areas during lunch and some AMA practices and then will spend time at turn 6, heading uphill to the corkscrew, then in the corkscrew, Rainey Curve and probably some time at turn 2. Saturday I'll wander around the turn 6 through 9 areas and watch qualifying and the Superbike race from turn 2. And Sunday I plan on parking myself in turn 2 to watch all the racing.

Nah mate, their loud but not that loud, not ear shattering loud anyway. I went to see world touring cars and GT cars at Silverstone a few weeks ago and the GT cars were LOUD! SO LOUD! 139 lap race too.

The GP bikes are just loud enough. Saying that Ooost you might find it a bit loud the first time they all come past you on the first lap, but you'l be so excited you wont be able to stop screaming!!! enjoy it pal.

I know Laguna is a pretty short ttrack too so where ever you are on the first lap you will be able to hear the guys set off from the grid, its spine tingling......

They are loud, but it doesn't hurt your ears like F1. You'll enjoy the sound. I didn't need earplugs when I went to the GP.

The first time you hear the roar it will be exciting, have a good time !

Which reminds me you will not be able to savour the 125 or 250 either which is a shame, as the racing is very close and they do shift also.

When you hear the MotoGP bikes on the grid Just b4 they set off it is awesme!

Enjoy!

I'm so excited to hear the machines and see the raw speed and witness a living legend ride in Rossi I can't wait. My flight leaves for San Francisco tomorrow at 2:30 here in Minnesota and then I take a two hour road trip down to Monterey. I am a bit bummed to be missing out on the 250s and 125s, I'm a big Red Bull KTM fan and wanted to see Mika do some good and catch Stoner in the 250 race as I have become a bit of a Casey Stoner follower. Thanks for all the good will guys, very much appreciated.
