I like it, ignoring the mission winnow branding. Nice they have gone back to predominantly red.

Why do we keep hearing that the aero is gone "next year" and when next year comes around... it's still there? Folks were saying how Ducati would suffer in 2019 with it gone, and yet, there it is.

Want to like the livery, but find it way too busy.

Don't forget this was just the livery launch. The bike is still the GP18. Ducati always hold off their final iteration until near the start of the season

May just be me and I am not sure why but my first impression on seeing these pics is that I see the Norick Abe Yamaha in that paint scheme.

Will see if I can find a good pic of the scheme I mean but this is an example.

This is the latest on aero regulations. No more interchangeable internal components for different tracks and clarification on dimension as bike will have to fit in a certain dimension “box” that will be placed on the bike during inspection to check its legality.

I liked the previous livery but this is so much better suiting. That is the real Ducati RED :p

Would look cooler with less sponsors and probably a big "Ducati" writing on the sides...but after all, sponsors put in the money, so....

Curious to see how the actual new bike will look like under the aero point of view (this is basically a GP18 with the new livery). Guess we will have to wait Sepang for that.

I think the names sick Mission Win Now, some stupid decal isn't going to make it happen much as I like the 2 riders.

The livery reminds me a bit of the Stoner era livery. That all Blood Red scheme. I like it. Love the aero packages of this new era as well. Now hopefully the results will be there for Ducati. Forza Ducati!!!

Having had another look at all the bikes and their "wings", I wonder how long until someone is sliced and diced by these stupid appendages.

Right! Because as everybody knows, the the winglets stick out way far and are made of Sheffield steel with razor edges.

I'd love to see these gone and the power of bikes reduced so they even wouldn't be needed any more. IMHO these bikes are overpowered. The fact they must restrict the power on first four gears speaks for itself. Does not mean the "appendages" are stupid though, with current insane 300 BHP on two wheels.

Progress baby. On some level I'm sure the impetus to improve the breed across the board is the fact that WSBK is slowly closing the performance gap. Unless the riders start wearing space-age nanotechnologic armor, there's going have to be some kind of limits. I mean sure the suits have all kind of space age armor and air bags - but mostly these guys are riding around in a suit made of cow skin. Tire technology can only go so far. 2019 is starting out in ways reminiscent of the two-stroke era with so many top riders injured all to hell. Unless they start redesigning the tracks with all turns using dramatically angled positive camber, I don't see how the bikes can get much faster without unacceptable rates of rider injury. Big money allows for factories constantly replacing parts, but there's a huge investment in the riders themselves and there aren't readily available substitutes for riders like Stoner or Marquez.

MotoGP can be the pinnacle of sport even if they are slower than WSBK. OTOH, when 800cc was introduced it didn't take long before track records were broken. Now even Moto2 is up to 750. Crazy.

Edit: Look how they ride these beasts, they even skip gears. I noticed in Austin they went from 2nd to fourth at the turn I was sitting, and rightfully, why use third if fourth gives same acceleration. And no revving up, just enough on second to make sure fourth will start pulling. Where is the high rev noise fans want to hear?

Rubbish they don't need to be made of Sheffield steel, did you look at how far the yamaha ones stick out? Or the big boxes on the Ducati's, they make great appendages to hit people with.
The ones on the Yamaha stick out further than the handlebars Yamaha Factory Racing | MotoGP?

Might as well stay up all night losing sleep over the possibility that the bar ends will poke someone's eye out, or the red hot brake discs are going to burn through someone's leathers and set them on fire, or that a rider will get his testicles pinched between the brake lever and the hand protector, or that a rider will get his hand caught in the drive chain, or a rider will burn himself on the engine. You've been living in that British nanny state too long.
