Stoner may become the Nigel Mansell of MotoGP.

What, become a parody of an aging, self-important fat ....... with opinions on everything and a tendency to ramble on?

At least Stoner didn't lose the World Championship because he stayed out on a worn tyre and became as one with the Adelaide fireworks display.

Stoner is far more talented, far more.

I scrolled backwards and forwards, read the name, read the comment, did it again, got up close the the TV, squinted, went and washed my face and eyes came back, repeated the process, made a cup of tea, repeated the process, went to the shops, then came back and read it one more time.

What you fail to realise is how much I dislike Mansell.

Still not much the wiser, although waste of space was my working definition both specific to the term and in general with the poster concerned.

A non-breaking space is a space between two words to basically stick them together when formatting for print or online. It is basically used to stop a phrase (usually a name) from splitting over two lines when a sentence or paragraph is longer than one line. For example, the more fastidious proofreaders will demand that "Valentino Rossi" or "Casey Stoner" or "That .... cuckoo bird" is not split up over multiple lines.

Ha, Krop knows html (hyper text mark-up language for the uninitiated!). At one time in the early mid eighties I set type on a linotype machine the size of a small room for a major Canadian newspaper... had to enter all the html code to get a half inch wide strip of photographic paper about seven miles long then cut and paste it onto galleys for the camera... By the time I finished with the publishing biz I was outputting to 24x36" plates and direct to press!

Got it now. Thanks.

Did he ever close the door on a return to Ducati?  Be kind of awesome to see him return on a Duc and winning with it.  Though I'm not even sure he has the magic to win on it given it's current state.

Doubt he'd ever go back to riding the Ducati. I think he can still win at PI on it. Nobody comes close to his pace on that track. Hell, put him on a CRT he'll probably wax all the satellite bikes at that track.

I doubt it, at PI you need horsepower and that at least isn't lacking on a Ducati. Current CRTs are too uderpowered.

Look at Sepang, another track where you need power, poor Barbera and Abraham on their new FTR and ART lost more than 2 or 3 seconds compared to their times last years on 'crappy' satellite Ducatis. Barbera last year actually lapped under 2.01 just a tiny bit slower than Rossi (which, if I remember well, was faster than Stoner had ever been at Sepang on a Ducati).

PI is not a horsepower track.  It is a high speed flowing track with very few hard acceleration points.

But neither Barbera or Abraham are any where near Stoner in natural ability or raw speed, his corner speed alone would be way ahead of there's,im not saying he would win on a crt but he would be very close.

Jarno is talking rubbish as Mcwilliams proved by putting the very under powered Team KR Proton on pole at this so called horse power track. :wallbash:

...not to mention the Aprilia twin in 2000.

Not that Stoner will ever get back on a GPwhatever Duke...

Yes, you are right, high speed is a better definition for it.

It used to be be a good track for Ducati anyway, where also Stoner's teammates could podium when the Ducati was more competitive vs Honda and Yamaha.
