Every year Me and Mr H experience the joy of muddy slopes, dirty portaloos, over priced under cooked burgers, queues several miles long for everything and the thrill of sitting in a rain cape all day, and we swear we will watch it on TV next year.
Just going to go and buy our tickets.
could'nt have put it better myself.superb track but the people who run
donington could'nt run a piss up in a brewery.once they have ya money
they could'nt give a .... about ya.third world camping facilities.security that treats you like a football hooligan.if anyone outside the uk is thinking of making the trip then come prepared to be treated like cattle with some disease.if i can dig out the letter i wrote to donington after this years
gp i will post it.i've been attending for all the time its been at donington and silverstone before that.the facilities for the race fan gets no better despite all the promises every year there is no improvement,in fact it gets worse.at le mans, assen, sachsenring and mugello you are really looked after.despite all this i will be going to donington next year in the hope that it will be better but i aint holding my breath.the thing is, its the only time the fans probably get to watch their heroes which is there home grand prix.here lies the problem, the organisers have got ya by the bollocks.i can see the jack booted security guys taking my camping tickets, its wednesday and i'm in for five days of being treated worse than a convicted criminal.such is the fate of being a motorcycle race fan attending his home gp.we really are a dedicated bunch of supporters even if i say so myself.i often wonder if the fly away races i.e japan, australia, america have the same problem as us,or is it just a donington thing.
