....... ......s.

Damn... its only op/ed and I don't know the author and/or his sources but this seems to reflect the majority opinion of the current state of affairs... Lex, those juicy justifications must be getting harder and harder to manufacture, nah?

I only need to manufacturer a juicy justification when people are ranting mindlessly about changes to the sport that they don't understand. There is nothing juicy to say about this one. The riders don't like the start enforcement, it adds nothing to the sport, and DMG should change it for next year.

They are changing the rules for SS, flag stations, and rolling starts.

There is no big controversy in this situation other than Ulrich being angry about how selective rules enforcement has hurt him. It is motivated by his teams meltdown at the end of the DSB season. Not even Dean Adams cares to use this petty rant.

Translation: He's not pissed off so I'm going to accuse him of being a DMG drone because if he's not with us, he's against us.

You're not reading the articles.

RE says that the AMA realized it had made an error in directing the officials, but they had affected some of the riders points, they needed to continue a consistent interpretation of the rule so that they wouldn't impact the outcome of the championship.

They anticipate changing the rules for next season.

Unfortunately, this article does rekindled the problems with the Buell 1125RR which was released an entire month before Mladin had wrapped up the championship. The bike ended up being quite competitive and it demoted quite a few of the privateer efforts. Granted Knapp and West were going to beat them regardless of the equipment, but it was somewhat shady. I guess DMG thought they were making the turnkey racer concept for the privateers so they didn't mind disrupting the midpack/backmarkers.

Who knows what they were thinking exactly, time to move forward.

But you're mistake, as you can see fabrication comes easy to Lex.
