Out of Nowhere
Is anyone going to the Day of Champions, or contemplating/doing the ride In this year? The paddock passes are sold out, but in-field tickets are still available as are ride in tickets, (the latter coming with automatic paddock pass included). The ride in convenes at Mallory this year, and commences with two laps of the track (mass pile up at devils elbow?) before moving on to The Vic in Coalville for breakfast. This is followed by the final run to Donington where you get three laps of the circuit supposedly behind the pace car -at which point all the nobbers on plastic crotch rockets piss off on cold tyres -(because you are held for half an hour beforehand)- and reduce the whole thing into a chaotic impromptu track day (not guilty m'lud..honest).
It's worth it if only just to hear McKenzie's 'after breakfast' anecdotal speech at the Vic. Then you get to ride the circuit before Rossi!
And of course it goes without saying it's money into one of the best and most effective charities in existence.
If so, make yourselves known.
