<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Ah, I'm so happy I've brought another lost soul to the light of Powerslide.
Well you're a real trooper for coming back. I'm not as bad as you think. The thing is that this is my playground. Nothing I say should ever be taken too seriously. And I kid those who I feel a connection with. True story sweetheart. Rog use to be my nemesis on this forum. We use to fight worse than married folk. But one day he came to visit and we are forum BFFs now. So if you are fighting with me now then there is a good chance I would love to have a beer with you as it would make for a lovely discussion (though you'd probably be wrong on all points)
Again, I don't "hate" Dani, I just dislike him 'bery bery' much.
BTW, we need more Dani fans such as yourself. I'm tired of shitting on him without a challenge. All his real fans have left the forum tucked in a fetal position. You gotta have thick skin to play here, no thin skin over-sensitive people will make it. Half the time I'm posting, its not angry, I'm actually laughing my ... of as I type because it so easy to get people wound up. Stick around whiz14. (By the way, is that your age or your IQ?--why else would you be a Dani fan, you're either young or dumb or both.

Hey.
It's fine. if I was a sensitive fan to all the "hatin'" then I would have said adios to this forum without so much as signing up eons ago. As it happens, this is the most diverse, opinionated and unique MotoGP forum I've found so I can't and shan't bear to stay away. Besides, I do recognize that to be a Pedrosa fan in this board (and in general) takes equal parts courage and masochism.
Anyway, it's a couple of pages late but just to add to Austin's spot-on post, I think that it 's not just Casey Stoner's sudden rise to MotoGP prominence that became a wake-up call to Dani but more so the emergence of another former rival, Jorge Lorenzo, as a Championship contender. The once 3-way fight has suddenly become a 4-way fight, and Dani, even if he recognizes it or not, suddenly became the 'longshot', and not the prime Spanish contender, something that once fueled his 'sense of entitlement'. While he looks to be okay in allowing Jorge to sweat under the fans' and the media microscope, it's a slap in his face for him to see that he's not the 'Spanish Messiah' anymore, hence, the 180-degree turn in his 'perceived' attitude and maturity.
That's why I believe he badly needs to shatter his shell of complacency--whether it's firing Puig or strengthening up physically or improving his bike-developing skills, what matters is for him
to take action, to take control and to take responsibility.
I suppose that's just the kind of fan I am, I believe in the 'romantic' notion of rooting for the underdog, and while right now it is frustrating to see his Championship hopes become hindered by internal and external matters, I am not giving up on the hope that the tenacious and resilient Dani I've supported throughout his 125cc and 250cc days will re-emerge and prove his doubters wrong.
P.S.
As for my username, it's a nickname given to me when I was a kid and I've grown rather fond of it, so leave it alone.
