There was a thread about it a while back, but from memory :
jumkie and cali kid went to see nicky hayden at a local bike shop in so-cal. think he was there to launch something or other. Cali kid was armed with a "i hate dani pedrosa" t shirt and being the joker he is went over to get Nicky to sign it. Jumkies avi was of Nicky signing this shirt while laughing with a big ... grin on his face. Now if there wasn't some serious history between these riders i doubt Nicky would have been so eager to sign it and apear to get a lot of pleasure in doing so

In England, the glove would have been thrown down, and similar disputes would be settled in accordance with the Queensberry Rules or in more extreme circumstances, at dawn by sabre or pistol in the form of a dropped hankerchief and thirty paces either way.

Why don't you resolve this the American way? Next year, you can all convene at White Castle and challenge each other to a burger eating contest - (oh, you already did)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Sep 4 2009, 08:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Why? So people with just as much talent but none of the clout who didn't make the MotoGP grid are not admirable? So the admiration is in simply making it to MotoGP? If your point is making it to the top echelon of a sport, then what about the ...... characters who made it to the top echelon of a sport but have zero by way of humanity. Peders doesn't give a .... about anybody else except him and Puig. He didn't even so much as glance over at his teammate when he could have just caused his death or paralysis.

.... Peders and all his 'new' fans.

Hey Jum, didn't mean to wind you up dude.
Not saying I am a fan of Dani's. I agree that he can be an arrogant little ......, but the thread was about Dani being 'a pointless and useless cause', not an arrogant little ......, and that is ......... He is not useless, and if the cards fell his way he could threaten for the WC.
The kid is a fucken tallented rider and I agree with Gator, he has some heart. You have to remember, the guy rides insanely fast bikes, on the limit, and he has the physical stature of a 12 your old girl.

I think Dani is very shy, but very intense, with a win at all costs attitude, spurred on by Puig.
I think this combined with taking PR training from the evil Darth Puig does not help his cause. These guys are under massive pressure to perform at any cost, and from what I have seen, HRC have a no excusses attitude.
I actually think riding for HRC would be a tough gig, where nothing other than 1st is acceptable, and HRC hold you personally responsible if you do not achieve 1st.

Nuf said.

Nuts. No need bro. Im the one winding up peeps. Geez, just look at the reactions. Tongue & cheek boys.

Xoxo

Hey Arab, thanks for ur vote. Levi, i challenge u to a White Castle duel.

Michael, ur post above should come with a warning sign, "do not read while drinking cofee".

Hey Compa, i will post pic but i dont think Gator/Levi will change their mind. (sssshh, dont tell anyone but they have a thing for midgets, hence the Dani fetish). Anyway, I wish I could take the credit for that t-shirt, but that privilege belongs to CK.

Btw, who the hell is that ..... above, she went all quiet. Hope she sticks around to play cuz i like ....... with the "ladies".

Ok back on to Dani hate. Let it out boys, it will make u free.

(Disclaimer: Cali Kid put it best this weekend, even though I like Dani the least on the grid, I still like him much more than any stick and ball sport start or four wheel motorsport stars.

Pointless? Useless? Do riders have a moral obligation to win a championship?

For me, the incident at Estoril was appalling. As Jum says, Pedrosa was almost dismissive, there was no attempt to check on the welfare on the rider he's just taken out, jeez he didn't even apologise to his team mate until later. The inability to kick Puig into touch and speak out for what is right, or to voice an opinion of his own is infuriating. Many knock Jorge for being arrogant and outspoken, but he is his own man, and had the conviction to rid himself of Danny Amatrian because he realised the damage that was being dealt to his career.

Dani has shown substantial fortitude to have overcome a succession of debilitating injuries, and as many pointed out he is tough and gutsy to have ridden around these. But the same can be said of most of the current grid - Loris, Marco, Toni, Jorge immediately spring to mind.

So at Indy, Dani bravely bench pressed the pedrocycle, (which weighs about the same as a minimoto) remounted and gallantly got his head down, hunted down the pack and scored some points. Yeah? so what?- that's what these guys do. Sure there have been some quitters, and most of us know who they are, but Dani had an innocuous unlucky crash which wasn't really his fault - he got back on with little damage to his toy bike, and being that he was bloody quick that weekend turned in a succession of qualifying style laps on a predominantly empty track to be rewarded with some well earned points.. Don't forget, that's what the little monkey does best - and he gets even faster when his organ grinder sends him erroneous signals on his pit board.

I remember Gardner almost crashing in the 1990 Australian Grand Prix, breaking the fairing loose, and bodywork dangling fighting back to beat mighty Mick for a second home race victory. Or at Suzuka two years later, when he fell in a rain soaked race, got back on, after kicking the fairing back into position and bending the bars back straight, head tucked in, launched into the zone where the faint glimmer of a chance at the rostrum means more than engine performance and grip, and the subsequent sickening collision with the armco which resulted. Discretion is the better part of valour, but it wasn't in 'diggers' vocabulary.

I've said before Dani is unfeasibly quick, he rides with great finesse and guile, and often defies the critics with storming rides like we witnessed at Le Mans this year. He can fight, but he doesn't ususlly prevail. He's rather run away at the front and race the track as opposed to bashing fairings with his competitors. It was such a different story when he rode in 125 and 250. Most will remember those classic battles with Perugini and Lorenzo. If you want a sublime demonstration on how to ride a Moto GP bike, watch Pedrosa, and his body positioning and inputs on that Honda.
If you want a graphic demonstration on how to alienate a paddock, the press, and half the global audience of MotoGP, including seemingly the entire racing motorcycle fraternity of the United States (Norm DeWitt commented last year at Indy, that in the four or so decades that he's been covering this sport, he's never seen such public disdain for a rider on a grid); - again look no further, Dani's yer man.

But perhaps what finally did it for me, was last year, the little .... storming out of a Michelin test a day early like some spoilt petulant child, while the Kentucky Kid was dutifully out on track as usual putting in more miles than the space shuttle. Then Honda caving in, and dissolving a quarter of a century golden relationship with Clermont-Ferrand and before you knew it, the little turd was on the 'stones.

Arab POETRY!

Dude, that was outstanding.

Again, Dani=excellent rider (one of the best). Dani=...... character (one of the worst)

I still strongly feel that you guys haven't defended your fetish/hate for Dani enough. I'm the fire starter. Please don't let me down. I think I'm gonna forward a few posts on here to Dani, might greatly help his self esteem. Please PM your contact numbers so the lovers get down with it. I'm sure Dani has what you want, cause I don't.

Don't worry Jumkie, I'm still here.

I think I should just admit that one of the reasons why I decided to finally register after lurking for ages is because of you--I just couldn't resist your brand of charm.

Nah, I'm just messing.

Anyway, I may be a Dani fan but I won't go as far to proclaim that he's a perfect little angel. Oh, and I am not a fan of the Darth Puig in any way--If and when I do make it to my first MotoGP race in Sepang next year I intend to hunt down Dani and tell it to his face, in both Spanish and English, to get rid of the Darkmaster.

The dark side is too strong in Alberto Sidious high Sith Lord, and Dani is the first droid padawan, and as such he is devoid of emotion. You will not be able to engage either one of them.

thinking about it, does anyone recall in his two stroke days, Pedrosa's puerile Star Wars fixation? The plastic lightsabres on the rostrum, and the bizarre helmet logo of the baby with the dummy also brandishing a lightsabre? And to think Jorge got all that grief for hs lolly sponsorship.

Nice ....... post Arrabb....nice ....... post. Well written with elegant vocabulary. I should of been watching MotoGP in 1990 instead of playing stinky finger with Mary Rotten-Crotch.

I would really love to start placing bets on what lap Dani will fall of tomorrow.

If he's first when the race begins, he will either fall off on the 2 or 7th lap. Rossi will remain second. JL will either give out or fall of giving the lead to VR.

I guess it is difficult to stretch the analogy to alberto being the emperor.
