some gnarly racing this weekend in texas! dungey extends his lead in the championship with a fairly easy win with a bad villapoto start. the b thumper canard has impressed again by grabbing third spot & almost stealing 2nd from milsaps. the lites had the real action though!

yea, watched the race and I do believe Dungey will take the championship now, Villopoto needed the win to keep making up points.
Lites was weird to say the least to watch, I'm crushed for my boy Stroupe, he certianly could have made a huge points swing but just wasn't to be I guess. The Lites series isn't over by any means and I seem to be more excited over that than the big class this year.

Lites were very entertaining, it was a crashing Bonanza. Stroupe had a massive opportunity but did not capitalize. Two crashes and the French caught him. Not a good night for either. I was rooting for either Baggett (being from Cali) and that other kid who came in 2nd. It was a heartbreak to have that lapper get in the way but such is racing. Seeing that kid Baggett cry after his win was a good show of emotion, especially after all the setbacks he mentioned.

Congrats to Dungey. Villopoto was not impressive regardless of his bad start. I think he had difficulty with that tricky track. He reeled in the guys infront then faded as if perhaps he got arm pump, or tired, or something. I fully expected him to be on the podium. Canard was impressive and pressured his teammate to the line. Considering the points structure in SX, unless Dungey has a DNF, its his well deserved title to lose. Once James and Chad Reetard return, there will be less points to make up by Villopoto.

Without the 2 top riders in the world, i have really had a hard time tuning in for SX this year. I forgot it was even on and caught the podium celebration. t least its not Reed being gifted another title. That would be hard to stomach, a 3 time champion who only had to beat the best of the rest.

Well then you are missing out. Without Bubba to destroy everybody and Reed to come bridesmaid (except when James is crashing) has lead to some excellent racing actually. Every race has been a toss up as to who will win, which has been refreshing. You should tune in.

You guys have no faith. Dungey is due for a bad week or a dnf.
After watching the heat races I knew RV was in trouble. That track was too slow. He's never his best on those types of tracks.
What's up with Reed and Stewart anyway. Are they going to come back at all?
What a train wreck in the lites. That kid that won certainly deserved it. He looked truly shellshocked and blown away on the podium. There is nothing better than watching someone attain a goal that was and always will be out of their reach but suddenly through circumstance that goal is achieved for the 1st time and most likely the last. Very touching. It seems to me that he understood the moment.
What's up with all the Jesus shout outs? One of the lites kids, canard and now Dungey?

"Praise Jesus!" Hey I'm in the Bible belt so cut me some slack.

Sorry guys, I'm having a hard time believing that Dungey will have a bad week but anything can happen. Lets not forget Dungey was on the winning Des Nations team last year, as well as winning the outdoor series battling with Pourcel prior to the Des Nations, I think the kid has ice water in his veins but thats just my observation. Dungey seems to posses that laser beam focus needed to win championships, so watch this kid, his future appears to me anyway.....promising.
Now, a little about Villopoto...dammit, I know he is counting the days until the outdoor series opener. I'm not counting him out for the SX title, but the door is getting closer to being shut.
Pourcel, as mentioned earlier battled with Dungey down to the wire last year in the outdoor series, he did have a bike problem that cost him the championship, but I think Dungey saw a crack in the armor and he capitalized, now I'm wondering if maybe he's cracking again, I for one hope so because I want to see Stroupe take the series.

I understand what you're saying but the racing is actually better without Stewart. He checks out for first and Reed checks out for 2nd. I don't think Villo and Dungey will ever beat Stewart but I'm hoping that with the progress they have made this year they can run with Reed when he comes back.
The mx this year should be even better. I think Villo is fast enough to maybe run with Stewart. Dungey will be there as well and Reed has some confidence winning last years title so he could be a factor as well.

johnny your wrong... villopotto was beating up on reed in the outdoors last season until he got hurt so i think both him & dungey can beat chadwick strait up. now stewart is another story altogether. i think it will take a couple of seasons for the ryans to be able to match a healthy & metered stewart.

Frost I concur, Villopoto is a different animal outdoors, blazing fast hence I bet he's counting the days for the opener.

My bad Frosty. Maybe I worded it wrong. I was referring to SX when I said that maybe they can keep with Reed when he returns.
