CVs options

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (frosty58 @ Sep 29 2009, 10:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78789

sounds like vermulen is goin to sbk next season.
Well he has lots of options! Decisions, decisions, decisions...

CV needs to go to WSBK along with quite a few other riders.

I rate CV very highly, but his stock has declined sharply during the last 2 seasons with the uncompetitive Rizla squad. If he continue to stay in GP, I don't think he will be able to politick his way into a good factory ride which means his chances of winning are very slim. CV is too talented to become a "never was" in the world of GPs, and I think he would make a positive impact at the front and maybe even resurrect his career in WSBK.

CV is definitely capable of winning a WSBK title, and like Arrab, I like to see intelligent, level-headed riders succeed. His name needs to be in the record books.

Those are called 'nothing special' riders. All great champions show great tenacity, super aggressiveness, and a killer instict in their repertoire, which Vermeulen does not possess. A passive, laid back, unassuming rider gets you nowhere in racing. So save all that level headed conservative, careful approach, blah blah blah somewhere else.... this is racing, only the strongest survive.

You're favorite rider must be Nicolo Canepa if you're looking for an intelligent, level-headed riders.

Motorcycle racing is 90% between the ears.

The mentally strong survive. Rossi is the most mentally strong rider on the grid, he is also the GOAT. It isn't just his confidence that he derives from raw talent, but also his problem solving and his approach to racing. There is a reason Rossi and JB have developed the best bike around for 2 different manufacturers.

Perhaps CV lacks a bit of aggression, but that usually comes from lacking confidence. It remains to be seen whether it is a personality trait or a consequence of being on uncompetitive equipment.

Yeah... this coming from someone who thinks Nicky Hayden is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Face it man, Nicky Hayden is just an overrated, overhyped, human billboard used to sell bikes to delusional fans like yourself.

Back on topic. Vermeulen would be a mid-packer at best when he goes back to WSBK. Ol' Chris, what a disappointment... thought the kid had potential too.

Now here is a guy that thought ...... Nocando had a great career in MOTOGP. Well we all know how that wound up. So ...... went to SBK. The dude didn't do anything to speak about at all. So now what for ......? I bet he won't have a factory ride. So if he does get a ride it will be on a lesser team. The way this dude is going he will be racing grocery carts soon.

Canepa was one of the coolest dudes in the paddock at Indy. Super friendly and very approachable. Just saying..........
