CV needed to be 5th or higher in the points after Laguna for his contract to automatically renew for another year. He's currently 6th behind Colin. It doesn't mean Suzuki won't keep him, it just means he missed out on that particular clause in his contract.

I seriously doubt he's going back to SBK and I seriously doubt, if he did, he would get Troy's ride. Motorcycle Daily? Please.

if wsb/ducati are offering more money and a bike capable of winning a championship cv should go cos he aint ever going to win much on the zook. but will cv see that as a failure and a step backwards ?
i dont think pig has that much clout in HRC and if dani finishes lower than 2nd this year he may find he is #2 rider to someone like dani, dont under estimate the big H

I would love Chris the V to stay for 1 more year in GP just to prove that Suzi is a piece of .... machine, unless Duc or HRC are offering him factory rides. That Suzi is not going anywhere except when it rains or at stone tracks and when both Stoner/Rossi chrash. For that matter if CV got offered from Duc Xeroc of Hans Spree Honda he should go there as he has more chances to win WSBK trophies and be on the podium at almost every track..and then just follow JT footstep to come back to GP but with a factory squad or at least with HOnda privateer...

People have been saying the suzuki is nearly there for years and as a massively loyal fan of the team I'd really like them to deliver. Now. I'm fed up of waiting. The 2 third places are good but I want, no, NEED to see the blue bikes winning. I think what's needed is 2 more GSV-Rs on the grid for more data collection and trying out of new parts. Suzuki can afford it too.

I for one don't care to see Suzuki win but it kinda would be nice to see someone else up at the top of the podium. If they had more data collection it may help them a bit but I don't really think it would make that much of a change UNLESS they make them full factory supported machines.

Gossip really but Tardozzi is quoted on crash.net saying that he wanted CV but thinks his recent results will mean Suzuki will try and keep him.

I think the Suzuki could have wins in it, other than at wet / specialist tracks, but I don't think it's ever going to be a championship winning bike. Unless he just prefers the MotoGP circus to the WSB circus he'd have to be crazy to turn down the chance to be World Champion at something.

CV will stay in MotoGP (and so he should). He is in the top 6 of the talent on the grid.

In many ways he would have been the perfect replacement for Troy Bayliss, but, I'm glad he is staying in MotoGP. I hope the new chassis they bring to Bruno confirms why he should (and will) stay with Suzuki.

He would be the ideal rider to take Marco's place!
