Weird.. What's that weird descendant line in this diagram between freeBSD and osx ?
And no I've never owned a Mac laptop.. Still waiting for a good reason.. my guess is apple goes under again before I find a use for their laptops.. Ive fixed them.. I've played with them for a few weeks.. So I'm not unfamiliar.. The flip side to your fan boy comment.. I'm not an Apple hater.. Just a realist that realizes
There is no true upside to owning their products other than the styling,.. Which I'd admit is really well done.. Hardware is very respectable.. The rest is gimmick.. Oh, and if you bring out a macbook in a room full of people that know .... about computers, you're instantly the coolest guy in the room.. I don't need any help there chief.. Maybe you do.. Enjoy!
Yeah, fanboy. Apple laptop, Samsung Android phone, NT server, Unix server (Sun), Linux Server (Debian), multiple Raspberry Pi appliances, Android tablet - and that's just inside the house. There's more .... in the workshop...
Yep, the very epitome of an Apple fanboy.
And no, no burning desire to be the coolest guy in the room, 38 years of mainframe/server engineering has made me inured to all these willy-waving exercises.
Enjoy your superiority while it lasts.
