Most popular rider i could understand, voting him ROTY is the epitomy of fans who follow a person, not the sport.

The first survey shows that reality, the second is an insight into how bad the Rossifan situation is. Dorna would be constanlty aware of this in their marketting.

I don't think it is really a major marketting issue, survey's of that nature are always popularity contests rather than objective opinions. Look at our sports personality of the year awards, or the X factor. It's always like that. Crash.net's own F1 survey was just as bad
