He really should retire already. Seems like everyone likes the guy, but as a rider he hasn't shown anything great. I'm surprise he got a ride for next year.

Lets see, Edwards finished the 2005, 2006, and 2007 seasons in the top ten in points. Where did Nakano finish the last 3 years.....

What are you talking about man.... You know it and everyone else knows it people just don't like to say anything negative about the guy because he's likeable and speaks his mind. But being a 'likeable' guy ain't going to get you a championship.

Back to the topic. Yeah, i guess i can see Colin Edwards as a color commentator, the guy's not shy when it comes to speaking his mind. But then again some people who you'd think would be good commentators are sometimes at a loss for words when they are actually 'live' on air.

Back on topic, I agree, he would/will make a great commentator. He definitely not afraid to speak his mind. The commentators we have now in the States couldn't suck ... more. So bad that I usually listen to American broadcasts with the sound off.

+1

That would be great and even better if he and Randy would replaced the twats on BBC. What a line up that would be.
Can't help thinking, the fact that he likes to call it as he see's it, could be a reason he might not get such a job

He clearly has the pace to be at the pointy end, his early season speed demonstrated that(when the Michelins actually worked).

Toseland and Edwards both deserve their seats(and better bloody tyres!).

There are alot of people on this forum , including you, who obviously don't know much about high level racing.

Just when we get rid of people with the stellar brilliance of Pinky, his devil child shows up disguised in the name Supershitya. .... me.

SS56 I havn't read all your posts nor do I think I want to, but it seems the flack you've been getting has been well deserved

Ya Jumkie looks like we have a Pinky part deux

I'm with you Shinya...Edwards has done nothing his entire motogp "career" except for this year where he came out swinging with some decent rides, only to change back into his usual 1st gear when his contract was renewed.

Sure he hasn't had the most spectacular career to date, to say he has done nothing is delusional unless your exclusively looking at race wins. Being able to say that in 2004 and 2005 he was the 5th and 4th best rider in the world counts for something and while its not as impressive as saying your the number 1 rider in the world it certinaly adds up to a hell of lot more than nothing

In relation to this year I blame the Michilens for his horrid mid season performance rather than being lazy because he resigned his contract

Michelin may have something to do with this, just a suggestion.

Oops, I didn't realize you had beat me to the punch R1 SF. But yeah, spot on.
