this is a lovely forum.

Ah, no.  Hang around and you'll soon come to realize that this place is, for the most part, a .........  The most recent moderator scandal is just the latest in a long history of ...... incidents.  It was only the occasional gem from Arrab, etc. that made the forum remotely worth visiting.

My pet 'crazy-eyed-theory' is that PS is an experiment in 'Hostility in Social Media' or some such BS, run by a bunch of psych undergrads.  Some of the 'members' seem so relentlessly malignant that they can't possibly be real, can they?

Take what you will from the forum, but don't hesitate to bail when one of the emotionally damaged shitheads makes your visit less than pleasant.

Been watching a race a day, and reliving those races now I cannot help wonder at how close were the bikes that season, and the races definitely more thrilling than today's, although one can't help admit an extra something in Marquez and Stoner in the new era, in terms of raw talent - wonder what it might have been like with Marquez in the fray on the 2006 Repsol Honda or Yamaha. We know how it went for Stoner on the Michellin though.. also, I think the Rossi of the new era is actually a better rider than he was in 2006 - more refined, more disciplined which perhaps is the thing that is not really working for him, besides the machinery and more talented nemeses?

LOL.  Adding Marc Murder to the already insane 2006 mix would have caused the entire universe to implode!

Nothing beats Scwantz and Rainey at Hockenheim in my book!   Not just the last lap,  pretty much the whole race.  On the last lap, in footage on Youtube cant find it clear anymore,  the flat out right before the final straight, Schwantz had it in a full opposite lock slide.

More recently (this century haha!) Rossi vs. Marquez last year at Qatar.

Can anyone remember the paticulars of the 250cc race at mugello around that time that ended with fender banging and elbows across the finish straight?

Mugello 2008 right? Simoncelli vs Barbera, when on the last lap SImoncelli went weaving down the straight and hit Barbera's front brake which sent Barbera tumbling at 230kp/h.

The 250 Sepang race of 2009 was also amazing with Aoyama vs Simoncelli. Aoyama was amazing at holding of Marco. Mugello and Assen from that year where also great.
