Thank you. Unfortunately you made a separate spelling mistake in the same post as only you could do.

x14, ESPN were screening classic races a few years ago and one of them was Hockenheim 1991 featuring a magnificent duel between Rainey and Schwantz during the height of their rivalry. Like I say, it's worth ordering some of the past season DVD's from Duke and doing the same with WSBk.

x14, ESPN were screening classic races a few years ago and one of them was Hockenheim 1991 featuring a magnificent duel between Rainey and Schwantz during the height of their rivalry. Like I say, it's worth ordering some of the past season DVD's from Duke and doing the same with WSBk.

What I think I remember from Hockenheim is Doohans injury the following year (92), then the next year he was leading the race and had a mechanical. The GermanGP was vicious to the Aussie. Though I'll admit, more memorable was Dolly Buster ( B)( B) sponsoring the 250s, and seeing her flaunt big ....... around the event.

Speaking of ...., BM go run to the google machine and look up Dolly.

Eastern Creek....what a dump.

At least that grainy footage shows the powerlines and lovely atmosphere. I went to that race, was looking forward to it (and saving for it) all year. Wasn't worth the ticket up to Sydney. I didn't go back to that track for 5 years, and again was dismayed.

At least the post-crash 'interaction' was sans helmets...would have been funnier if the championship was still on the line.
