I'm givin dirtbiking another chance.

Last time i did was probably about this time last year, brand spanking new gear, every piece of protection you could dream of ... second lap out i stacked it with the handlebars twisting sideways and me being impaled on the corner of them Just under my body armour, breaking one or two of my ribs and bruising just about everywhere else in the process.

sold that bike and all my gear and now i want back in again.

but im having trouble choosing what bike i want... i have my heart set on a 250.... but i could and probably should choose to go for a 125.

so its a choice b/t ...

KTM Sx250 / 125

Honda CRF 250 /125

im kinda leaning toward the honda 250.... just for its simplicity but i do love ktms...

any ideas or something i may need to know? help!

KTM all the way, pipes and shocks are pretty good as standard.

Funnily enough i'm starting motocross too, and we're also looking for a bike. As it's my first time doing motocross (coming from a quad biking background), my dad (used to ride in the RAF championships), advised me to go for an old model and use his old riding gear if it fits me until i'm good enough, know I want to stick with it and have some experience under my belt.
We're looking at a 1992/1993 HONDA CR125, which will put me in the adult class straight away, skipping the inter juniors. It'll do for me to begin with, and if I prove my skill on an old bike I should move onto a new bike.
What a feeling it would be, being able to beat the other riders (who use modern bikes), on an old 92/93 model...might not happen!

KTM it is.... i think.

checking out a 2003 or 2004 SX 125 on saturday

dont forget to post some action pics when you get it.

I Had a 2000 CR 125 a couple of years ago before some theiving .... stole it!! It was a quality bike, when my mate got rid of his similar CR125 for a 04' KTM 125, it was noticably quicker out the bends and on the straights, I'm aware there are obviously loads more facters to consider.
I have read alot of good reports about the CRF250 especially reliability, if I where to start up again I'd definately try the honda out??
