Hi. My name is Sean and I have MMS (Multiple Motorcycle Syndrome)...

I am new to the forum. As in really new, not a long time listener, first time caller kind of thing. I am just visiting this forum for the first time.

I really enjoy watching MotoGP and other motorcycle racing. I am not a "follower" in that I can quote stats or rules or even remember who has won how many races this season. I don't follow any sports to that level, probably due to some form of undiagnosed ADD or something.

But I love MotoGP and would like to learn more. And as I live in the US South East there are not many people for me to speak to about motorcycle racing. So here I am , hoping this forum will be someplace I can engage race fans and learn more about the races I enjoy so much.

I also want to start attending tracks days next year. The local law enforcement officers are not allowing me to enjoy my Speed Triple the way I would like to. And I need to develop some skills.

Cheers!

Hey Sean, you live near an amazing motorcycle museum at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham. Welcome to the MotoGP Forum family!

Thanks, all!

duc, the museum at Barber Motorsports Park is definitely awesome! The Moto America races there in June was also really cool. But best of all is the Vintage Fest in October! The swap meet alone is like a walk through history. Barber's was a big selling point when my wife was trying to talk me into moving here last year. And it is definitely worth the hype!

Another selling point are all the microbreweries in this city...

WVMotoPG99, you are all too correct. I am already trying to figure out how to add the next toy and I have barely started to pay down the Rocket.

Why hello Duc. Nice to see a new face on the forum. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself. Do you like Moto GP and discussions about it Will you be taking part in the banter? A lot of people come on here and then disappear. FYI There are some subjects that are taboo. Whatever you do, do not talk about unicorns or you will be chickenbleep banned. A chickenbleep ban is what we refer to when a member wakes up one day and finds they can log in but cant navigate past the sign in page. This comes with no warning or explanation, so tread lightly. If you have any questions, please refer to our moderator Migs Angel.
Hope you stick around

Hi S Pat, great rides. Stick around and you'll learn some really good info on the racing. Little Sparrow is our resident expert. Also if you need some friendly advice on drinking alcohol, Little Sparrow is our resident expert. If you would like to know about the riders, you can learn a lot about Valentino Rossi, just asks Little Sparrow, our resident expert. If want to learn about the following: wearing your hat backwards, buying lots of Rossi gear, tattoos, and hangovers, Little Sparrow is our resident expert.

Cheers in deed.

Btw, Speed Triple, best bike ever. (Well, behind the supermotos, then its the best bike ever).

Oh come on Jum - taking the spotlight off yourself?! You are the resident expert on all that's listed above...except wearing your hat backwards & tattoos...that's where I'm the resident expert & maybe buying Rossi gear. If you replace Rossi with Nicky Hayden...THEN almost all of the above would be correct.

Thanks for the guidance! I will go straight to Little Sparrow with all my racing and cultural needs!

Yeah, this Speed Triple is awesome! When I put my money down to resevre the Rocket X I originally planned to trade in the Speed Triple. But I couldn't do it. I just couldn't. And I knew I would want a sportbike again, so why get rid of the one I would always miss?

Have you ridden a Rocket Roadster? Don't. You will want one. There is something intoxicating about that much power on an 800 pound beast that handles like a much smaller motorcycle (once it is rolling, it sucks backing it up into the garage). It is no Speed Triple, but it is just so much damn fun!

I aspire to get a Daytona 675, those 3 cylinders sounds awesome. Sean, I weas lucky enough to get a tour around the Triumph Factory a few years ago, was great fun.

I ride an '06 675 and it is great...mine has a standard exhaust and i still like the sound....I have been told several times by member of the 675 forum that i need to swap to a Akrapovic exhaust just for the sound....
I have to admit though that i have been thinking of swapping over a Speed Triple....

I highly recommend Triumphs.... :)

Lovely Migs,

My dad has a 2003 Bonneville T100 with ALL the extras. Racing pipes, king & queen seat, the lot. My brother got it for him as a birthday present. Now it sits in his living room :)

I would love to take that tour someday! My plan is for a motorcycle vacation in England, to include the factory, the Ace Cafe (and many of the other culturally significant roadside cafes), and attending a BSB race. I understand there is a fabulous motorcycle museum there, as well. Hours of drooling over vintage motorcycles is definitely on the agenda!

My Speed Triple has the Arrow TORS (low) and that machine sounds awesome! I am just as guilty of blipping my throttle under bridges and in tunnels as any Harley rider. I can't help it!
