It has to be a money thing, otherwise why toss the #3 reigning WSBK rider?
Any chance Suzuki, MV Agusta or Aprillia are considering a factory WSBK team for 2021? That would give Davies a chance to grow the nascent effort for a few years before retiring on his own terms, much as I expect is Sykes’ plan for BMW.
MV has new cash and management, and a sweet looking ride.... and Suzuki is very strong. Aprillia should be ashamed of their lack of effort in 2020. Let’s hope someone gives #chazdavies7 a seat for 2021.
