Hi all,
We've managed to secure Steve Parrish to visit Steeple Morden and host a limited (20 guest only) charity dinner. It's in aid of Leukaemia Research (child in our village has Leukaemia and we are holding several events in aid of this, plus doing the Three Peaks Challenge in June).
You will know Steve at one of the BBC's presenters. He used to race motorbikes and was best mates with Barry Sheene. He has his own race company and also raced trucks.
He lived in Steeple Morden some years ago and was known as a local personality and a bit of a pratical joker.
This evening promises to engaging and fun.
The venue is our local pub (private dining room, menu tba).
Tickets are £100 which is a snip considering Steve's background and fame. ~80% of the £100 will go to the charity.
