Stoners race pace is 0.4 better than everyone so I would suggest the race will be over by lap 5 unless there is trouble of some kind.

the 142:4 lap he did set there was a huge mement in the fanal sector... so prob could of been 141.... and his race pace seems to be low 143. whereas sic's was 143.7 ...........

lets hope sic takes it easy at the start tomorrow.

Should be a good battle for 3rd or 4th. I suspect Stoner, Sic and Lorenzo will clear out and leave Dovi, Crutchlow, Spies, Rossi to battle it out. Sic and Lorenzo have the same race pace so that will be interesting should they share some track for a portion of the race.

Excuses have started.

Nice to see that after a hearty breakfast of Captain Crunch and a big glass of chocolate milk, that you've managed to emerge from your sugar haze long enough to make yet another of your pithy observations. Curling up with your teddy bear for a nice nap must sound good to you right about now.

umm no was fact, he was red light on first sector then the remaining 2, 3 secotr he had to pass 4 bikes....

Still an excuse.

Stoner does have the race pace but that doesn't mean much when there is an Italian with heart nearby, think Rossi Laguna seca.

i just hope he dont take down anyone else tomorrow, especially those in championship contension

Ha ha ha. Can you tell me how on earth you would know what I've drunk in the last 5 years from over there in ny? Certainly not chocolate milk. My daughter has a Teddy bear and I'm happy to leave her with it.

I do agree with that. Nothing good about taking other people out when you .... up. Unfortunately .... does happen regardless of how much talent each rider has.

especially those who's ambition outweighs their talent ?

No need for excuses, well done to simoncelli, he really can put down a demon lap, and this makes for a more interesting race. As an observation, stoner doesn't seem to get much out of the softer tyres, and is often little faster than on the harder ones.

Stoner like anyone else has problems dealing with italian torpedoists, with or without hearts.

Rossi fans must be so happy with his best qualifying position this year....7th

3rd row.

So happy for Super Sic to get pole after everything he has had to put up with this weekend.

If Rossi is already on his third engine after 4 races he is really in the ..... And if this third engine is the new Burges/Rossi spec engine & he is still 8/10's off pole & 8/10's off Stoner's 2010 Catalunya quali pace he is absolutey screwed. Oh well! The boppers will say it's his best quali result this year, but 9th to 7th is hardly the improvement he would be expecting considering the longest shoulder injury in history isn't a factor any more.

Simo's rep will help him in tomorrows race, especially against Stoner who has the 1 DNF this season. I think Stoner will prevail, but if Simo leads into corner #1, you will see riders be very careful about when to make a move on him. It appears that Stoner and Lorenzo have the best race pace, but neither can afford to get tangled up with the wild man.Should be interesting.

That all depends. My understanding is you can use the engines anytime you want, and reuse them as long as the seal has not been broken. If he has blown up 2 engines and is on his 3rd, that is a cause for concern.

Should be a good race. Happy to see variety at the front, even if it is the most unpredictable ...... on the grid. (who I am a fan of when he isn't kamikaze-ing riders.

Stoner has the pace, I don't think Lorenzo has the pace to go for the win.

True, but if this new spec engine is supposed to be a step up, going back to the previous version if they are running short on engines later in the year will not bode well. If they have the reliability in the new engine, it may not be a problem. But i still think it is a little early on to be using a third engine regardless.
