I don't see why people think Rossi won't be able to do it, he did it at Mugello and that had a muther straight.

+ the finish line at catalunya is close to the corner exit, so the duke doesn't come into its own.

I think he can do it. I'm just predicting contact with elias that sends Rossi too far back so he can't recover higher than 3rd...

Maybe youre right and I will take one more look at the Mugello race.
I think maybe Ducati's straight line advantage has changed a little. While they seem to still have a top speed advantage the accelleration at the exits seems to be less. The other riders have allways been able to negotiate the top speed difference while the accelleration is something new this year.

No. The hondas have almost equaled the Ducati power, but the yamaha is still way behind. Two long straights is what all the tracks with stoners victories had, so does Catalunya.
 
I am going completely different and I vote for Dani Pedrosa since it is his home grand prix this weekend.
 
My prediction (assuming dry race):

1. Rossi
2. Pedrosa
3. Hopkins

Stoner 4th.

Hayden to be taken out by an optimistic Elias lunge into turn 1.
 
I'm not too sure yet..
I think Dani will be very eager to win over there, but Valentino probably wants to make it two in a row after last weekend. I think Stoner should also fight for the win.

So my prediction:

1: Rossi
2: Pedrosa
3: Stoner

Elias will be so much higher up the grid than hayden for that to happen

Anyway I agree, I think that monkey boy is gonna go back to back here. And Pedrosa is gonna be up there, and elias will be out for blood, or whatever the inspiringly insane ....... drinks. As for stoner, I heard him bitching about the track surface at Catawhatyacallit. Maybe he should take that duke for a few hot laps behind bubba stewart before he decides what a "rough surface" is.

Allthough I tink Pedrosa will be very stong.

Noticed how the HRC hondas are flying now. Ever since Mugello they are almost at Ducati level.
