Will he have revenge this weekend or will it all end in tears for him
<

There is alway's a chance with gibber's it just depend's on his mood ! but the one thing he will have on his side, is the chance of rossi being barracked every time he come's out on track by the spanish fan's, after the infamous undertake which barrged gib's of the track, will be interesting to see if it will faze the doctor ?
<

LOL thats true..

I will take a chance and will vote yes as he is due a bit of luck and maybe the Doctor will end up on his backside
<

Well he can afford to with the lead he has got.
<

Maybe I'm just cynical but I think this is the beginning of the end for Gibernau. I've said it before that he got his Honda ride undeservingly because of sponsorship. Before his Gresini Honda ride he was a wet weather specialist but other than that did nothing. I think his luck is finally running out. If that is the case Honda is in trouble, going to be hard to get a bike to preform when it is developed around a losing rider.

some very interesting points there guys.

I always favour the underdogs so it would be nice to see Sete do well in spain, plus if he doesnt this weekend then its def over for his chances of the title.

Yes i think Rossi will get mobbed by the spanish fans! although even in spain i think he has an unusually large following, and yes he obviously could afford a DNF but hey, hes Rossi for gods sake. Full stop lol

Going back to Sete, if he doesnt finish second this year it will really affect him and his chances of becoming champ in the future. (Correct me if im wrong) but He's never been wo4rld champ before has he? Edwards, bayliss, Melandri, biaggi, capirossi have taken world titles before but not sete. i think that pisses him off...

Not having a title has to piss him off, but at the same time I'm sure it's great motivation. Obviously winning the MotoGP World Championship should be motivation enough, but when you are consistantly beating past world champions it would definitely make me want one even more.

sete who
<

oh that old has been
<

if the spanish fans barrack rossi (what do i mean if) they will only feed his determination
sete will obviously be giving it his all it will turn into a gibers vale battle they will leave the others behind
<

<span style="font-size:36pt;line-height:100%<span style="color:redlet battle commence

Gibbers needs to produce a result this weekend, did anyone find out what actually happened on Sunday? The commentators said it was tyre trouble, hence the low side............what do everyone think?

As far the race, I've give up predicting..............hope that someone can challenge Rossi more.

Nice to see you back rossi rules.................have you been stalking vale or something
<

As far as what I think happened to Gibbers goes, I have to believe it was rider error. Again, maybe this is just me being cynical towards Gibernau but the way I see it he came into Mugello a ways back from Rossi. Gibernau falls off the pace a bit from Rossi and decides he needs to step it up, tire issues or no he needs to go. Instead of riding around and salvaging points which is what is necessary to win a world title he adopted the "win it or bin it" mentality and the only guy who can really make that work at this day in age is Valentino Rossi. So he really starts pushing despite the tire troubles and throws away a top five finish. As far as the upcoming race goes I think we will see typical Rossi play with Gibbers and Biaggi until the late stages and leave those two to battle for the remaining steps on the podium. Although if Rossi really wanted to stick it to Sete and the Catalunyan crowd he would leave everyone behind early and win the thing by 15 seconds.

I think you have hit it on the nail M8.

Gibbers pushed too hard thinking about winning and bam looks like the front end or somthing Just gave out beneath him..

Absolutely, he has a bit of a history of throwing away podiums, top fives, and wins. It's almost as though he rides just like a rookie, too much adrenaline and he gets too excited and pitches it away.

i got too excited during a race once had a big adrenaline rush and fell out of the chair
<
so i know what it's like for gibber's
<
<

i think sete allows minor problems to distract him instead of adjusting his riding to get the best out of the bike remember when he crossed the finishing line in the wet then parked his bike against pit wall he could have completed the cooling down lap but not queen sete ive seen riders get round to the pits with virtually no tyre left (usually after a burn out)
i suspect at mugello he had a problem (apart from his attitude) and it took over his concentration too busy shaking his head either that or he realised he was way off the pace so binned it

Yeah I recall that. I have to believe a lot of that head shaking and drama queen garbage has to be an act. Obviously he lacks focus at times and some of it is because of the mental pressure he puts on himself and some of it is from Rossi. But I think when he parks the bike and walks and shakes his head and holds his shoulder after he got bumped, it's all an act. He's spanish, the governing body is majority spanish. If he makes a big scene about something he has a better chance of the governing body looking into what happened. The governing body likes to see their son win, and if he is upset about something they will do anything in their power to make things right for him.
