Anyway I think Ducati made a mistake letting Toni Elías go, there aren't that many riders there able to make the Ducati go fast.

Ducati should keep Toni or else Toni will kick Ducati ... next year. Or bring back Barros to proof his words against Ducati

He won the 2007 Superstock 1000 F.I.M. Cup championship on a Ducati,

Canepa has won in lower formulea and then spent a year or so testing GP bikes to get up to speed away from the fast paced world championship atmosphere, it seems a legitimate approach to me. We see it all the time with F1 hopefulls, a year of testing to learn the car/bike well enough to not get totally lost in your rookie season trying to set it up in limited time frames. My only worry would be that they found this guy is Superstock racing, which is sub-supersport!

For sure Ducati didn't hire Canepa just to fill up the grid.

Elias can be fast in during contract periods. So it would be wise to make hm sign only 1 month contracts, this way he'll be on focus all the time

So Ducati's new strategy next year would be, short contract period for Fat Toni (so that he'll podium every race). And put "Rossi DNF or Rossi -20 sec" on Casey's pit board when he's leading. (Even though rossi is just .010 seconds behind)

With Canepa and Kallio the Alice team has two very motivated riders at least.Kallio can race,he has shown that he's got the head for it but as have been said Canepa's race experience isn't big or how to say it as Kallio's.But he knows the bike.
Kallio has said for a long time his dream is to ride the Ducati and if he is like most Finns he will try to no matter how many bones he brakes.I live in Sweden, the country next to Finland and have a few friends and work buddies from that country. All of them are teamplayers and don't mind hard work.
They are also not afraid of anything, kind of crazy but in a sensible way..
So I think the Alice team will have two riders who can make the bike work.

In all his testing, Canepa has proven to be very quick and as Roger said, I think that this season testing will prove a well spent year to become competitive in his debut season. By getting both Canepa and Kallio, Ducati have landed two very young, very talented riders. Something that bodes well for the future of Ducati.

Back on topic:

Canepa on MotoGP... well he did well in Brno in the Superbikes but he's only 20 years old and he doesn't have the 125s/250s background like most young riders on MotoGP have. But i'm a huge fan of his Canepa and he's talented. Let's see if he comes and, if that happens, let's see what he does

By the way, 5 Ducatis???? Winning the Championship last year made them crazy
