Cal Crutchlow: How annoying the British Media's wishful thinking gets!!

Cal Crutchlow has made a decent Moto GP debut. However what is annoying me the most is the British Media's wishful thinking. He is a satellite bike rider, and he is already being mixed up with the 4 aliens this just makes it more annoying for me because as always the British media are always trying to market their own riders in false ways. He has done a decent job in super bikes but that is not enough because Spies became champion on the same bike the year before. Contrary to that some people have been saying that he could end up replacing Spies at Yamaha next year???????????????

I'm finding this very annoying as it is only a false pretense. If you want any evidence then just look at Matt Robert's and Steve Parrish's blogs and you see the load of ......... they are spewing out. Typical.

No, you're right Viper. The British media shouldn't be so optimistic about British so-called 'talent', Cal's debut was indeed average; the commentary should recognize this and not hype him up. After all, like you said, he's on a satellite bike so he's hardly going to win, he might not even get a podium... they shouldn't be optimistic and as for the false pretenses and all the crap they come out with well, it's disgusting. The British media are clearly trying to make him out to be something he's not.

Viper, within the 'lounge' there is a grudge section which seemingly anticipated your arrival. You could always spit your venom in there

Viper, i agree, the British media are evil, and they must be stopped!

What do u propose we do?

Read superbike planet and then you'll feel a whole lot better about our media

there was also a great deal of sarcasm in my first post. yes i think that the media shouldnt heap pressure on british riders (insert Toseland image here) but the media have to hype them up to a certain degree, you can hardly have british commentators ignore the brits and rattle on and on about young spanish lads, for example. Viper's .... stirring rants are ridiculous to the point of being comical, that is if they weren't so annoying.

Does he still make his customary appearance on the grid at Phillip Island?

Unfortunately I cant answer that question Arrab as sadly I havent made it to a race since 2007 due to spending the majority of my time living overseas (in an area where racing is non existant)....I am hoping to get there this year if the stars finally align

Maybe one of the other Ozzies here can fill you in on his whereabouts....most probably he was last seen on the grid rooting some poor umbrella girls leg at the 2010 race...it just wouldnt be the same without 'ol Fred
