Race is today airing on Sky Sports 3 at 7.30pm.

Leon Haslam takes pole by storm breaking the lap record at this tricky circuit whilst Ducati Airwaves teamate Gregoria Lavilla lines up in 2nd place.

Championship leader Kiyonari starts in 7th, which shows this is a track suited to the Dukes.

For them with men and motors channel BSB was on all afternoon. Apparently men and Motors is an ITV channel. Great races both of them. fills in the gap for the next moto gp quite nicely!

Yes heard from another source, RIP Ashley Martin, peace to his friends and family in these troubled times.
Teenage rider Ashley Martin has died from the injuries he sustained during Sunday's qualifying session for the 11th round of the British Superbike Championship.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>The British Supersport team member sustained a major head injury in a heavy crash at the Gooseneck section of the Cadwell Park circuit on Sunday.

Martin, from Shiptonthorpe in Yorkshire, received lengthy treatment at the circuit before being airlifted to the neurosurgical unit of Leeds General Infirmary.

A statement from the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board declared: "MCRCB-Events regret to announce that Ashley Martin, aged 18 from Shiptonthorpe, Yorkshire has died in hospital."

The statement from MCRCB added of Martin: "He was unconscious at the scene after suffering a major head injury.

"He sadly succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

"The circumstances of the incident will be subject to investigation by the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board and the relevant authorities.

"At this desperately sad and tragic time, our thoughts and profound sympathies are with the family and friends of Ashley and when appropriate we will be seeking instruction from them as to how to provide the best possible tribute."

The news arrived just before racing began today at the Bank Holiday event at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire.

Jonathan Palmer, the chief executive of MotorSport Vision, who run Cadwell Park, said: "We are all deeply saddened by this tragic accident and at this desperately sad time, our thoughts and greatest sympathies are with Ashley's family and friends.

"We will be working with the relevant authorities to fully investigate the circumstances of the incident."

Very sad news.

What`s Cadwell like for safety? Is it up to scratch or is it a car racing track?
