BRNO WSBK RACE thread

Race 1
First off, Corser on the BMW, wow, great start and great first few laps. Good to see the bike development has been paying off. Massive crash by the other BMW rider Xaus, news is he broke his leg. The race was shaping up to be a great battle to the end with a few different players, then Fabrizio pulled one of his famous passes, taking out Spies and himself, gifting the win to Biaggi. Solid rides by Ten Kate Checa and Rea, and great result for BMW Corser.

Race 2
The 2nd race played out smooth, Spies picked up a nice little lead with Biaggi and Fabrizio in tow. Biaggi played back and forth with Fabrizio before finally making the pass stick. In the end he felt he didn't have enough to make a safe pass on Spies and was happy with 2nd. Haga ended the weekend with an 8th and 6th, good damage control. And after the Fabrizio scud missile incident, Haga still maintains the overall lead.

Who's going to ride for Xaus?
Perhaps Steve Martin? He rode the BMW at Kyalami as a replacement for Corser.

kagayama hit hopper when he seemed to virtually stop in front of him & he had no where to go.that was race 2 i think.
cant remember hopper being commentated on much they said a bit about his long standing injuries and coming back racing too soon.he's still banged up

I saw him hobble away, looked painful. He needs to sit out the rest of the season. Geez, and on the heals of a 40 day break, and this happens. Seriously, the guy has the worst luck in the world.

At least he manned up and took the blame.

That was a terrible move by Fabr.

he wasnt in race 2

I am worried for Ben Spies' title hopes now. We are coming up on a few tracks that haga really likes and goes well. We saw in valencia that he can dominate the tracks that he likes. Spies was supposed to come away with the lead after this round. How much more bad luck can a rider have and still win the title? With the way the season is going I still think that he has some more problems ahead

I guess I am just in one of those moods this morning
