Hi I'm new here. I'm from Toronto area.

Made a last minute decision to fly to Czech Republic in August and take in MotoGP while there.

Anybody have recommendation for nice place for decent price.

Preferably apartment style??

Yeah I know I'm probably being too picky but you don't know if you don't ask:)

Hi,

I have been to Brno for the GP a few times. To be honest, I spent very little time in my hotel room. In fact, I hardly ever made it past the track and the Starobrno brewery. I have stayed at the Hotel Garni three times. Its very basic ( and I mean basic ). Its student accomodation through the rest of the year. But its clean and in a pretty decent location. 10 mins walk from the brewery, where a lot of bike people head to ( which is also across the road from the free bus upto the circuit ).

You will have a cracking time thats for sure !!

If you want any further help, just PM me

hey Willski. I'm from Hamilton and will also be heading to Brno. If you want to go in on a studio apt or something like that, let me know. I might even get there early and find a place first. I'm in the Dominican Republic right now and I'm flying to Germany tomorrow for the Sachsenring race. How long will you be staying in the Czech Republic?

Hi Sean,

I can't make Brno this year. Its Laguna for me !

Not sure how you plan to get to Brno. Its about 3 hours drive from Prague. There is a really good bus service that runs from Prague to Brno city centre very regularly and its cheap. It might be worth trying to find some accomodation pretty quickly if you want to stay in the centre of Brno as there is normally 150,000 crazy prople on race day !

Great circuit, great beer, great atmosphere. Got to be one of the best all round places to watcha bit of bike racing. If you want anymore help, just give me a shout !

ive been to brno too, not for motogp tho. one of my friends did the eramus student thing over there so I tagged along a couple of days with her (ie partying 24/7). you can also fly to bratislava and take the train to brno. thats how we did it, takes about 2 hours by train. tickets are very cheap, if I remember correct its 15 euro's?? if you want specific details I'll ask my friend how it all works.

Thanks for response. We found something away from Brno but with a rental car, don't mind the distance. Unfortunately, with the car the brewery won't fit in with plans:((

Question. I know parking at any large event can be a mess. Any suggestions for parking away from the track and catching bus to and fro?

Parking may not be too much of an issue ( but i don't know for certain ). Camping at Bro is pretty popular. The bus service from the city centre is excellent, loads of buses, free of charge and very regular, so I am wondering if many people actually take their own cars
