Possibly riding style, Iannone's tyre did the same two laps from the end.
Thing is Lorenzo's style is less harsh on the front, and it's why the hard tire has been detrimental for him. So if his tire started chunking it was a quality control issue ( not unheard of considering what we saw today on the slow-mo camera regarding tires and Dovi himself having to retire, granted they passed life of such a tire in these particular conditions.). Bottom line, Lorenzo and the rest of the field must take gambles on tires to compete against the hard tires. They are ...... one way or the other, choose hards, compete with Rossi on his tires, chose softs, take a gamble they'll disintegrate.

If you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks.

Crazy decision by Lorenzo.
It failed yes, but not crazy.

Ironically if Rossi had got his wish Lorenzo's pit could have radioed him to stay out there and possibly have challenged for the podium.

Apparently, the latest developments on the pit communications situation are that text style SMS messages would be relayed to the riders screen. Imagine if Barry was your team manager, your dash would be inundated with emoji's!!

One of the reasons that Pedrosa is so spooked and off the pace is the revival of the 'ship to shore' shenanigans having long since parked his yacht and hung up his sailors hat.

You've ruined me comps.

Proof of Lorenzo chunked tire. Michelin should be embarassed

A number of riders lost rubber from the front, would Michelin make an entire batch badly or could it be some (wet) riding styles are harder on the front ? I say this as I remember Lorenzo leading by a large margin at a wet Motegi and as the track dried his tyres were destroyed.

Funny thing about today's win, I happened to get these two books in the mail this week. Who would have thought it'd be a prelude to something.

Funny old Rossi couldn't even beat cuntslow on the same rear tyre. Hahaha. Good old cal.

Plus we know now Lorenzo is faster on worn wets than Rossi. Silly ....... for coming in though.

Marquez conserved his softs. Clever man

Apparently Lorenzo came in the first time because the front tire was falling apart. I don't think it was part of the plan.

Yes Reggie, but the front tyres were different so your point is?

Funny how lorenzos soft fell apart and rossi's didn't. Mmmmm

In the dry Lorenzo has ballast on the front of the bike To weight the front as he is smooth and doesn't wear the front, therefore why should his wet fall apart

I still believe there is a take out coming for Marquez at the hands of Rossi. He will not let Marquez run away with the title without taking him out at least once.

The place to have done it would have been this time, it was wet but they didn't they both rode brilliantly, I think you are suffering sour grapes with an attitude like that.
BTW I don't care who wins the championship as long as its great racing.

It was tongue in cheek, Brit humour, you won't hear any complaints from the riders.

hey i'm new here but I have to agree.....everyone knew that was a joke surely ;) ...... i laughed as did he straight away, clearly demonstrating that of course they weren't...he knows that .... anyone not realising that doesn't get mid/northern humour...

I'm sure he wouldn't have said that to the lovely vanessa :p she wouldn't get it but a Brit BT audience would.........

Pitted from 10th position and lost second in the championship for doing so. He'll probably regain it next weekend as the forecast is for a sunny bank holiday unusually.

Its 2 weekends time ;)
