British talent cup.

apologies for the source but it does seem legit.

Well that would be a groundbreaking first for you. (wink emoji thing).

Good find this, thanks for that. They were discussing this last weekend on BT Sport. It is sad as you say that the US has so little representation - I had high hopes for Cameron Beaubier and Steve Bonsey. Also the lack of Japanese talent. Remember the amount of young wildcards that used to flood the lower classes at Suzuka?

Aoyama aside, it's as though all hopes died with Daijiro.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that riders with the talent of Lorenzo, Marquez and Vinales exist outside of Spain. It just needs junior cup series like this in more countries worldwide.

Wasn't DORNA also involved in Asia in a junior series?

I may not be DORNA's biggest fan but for mine, using the money to bring along juniors from around the world (that being the operative word) can only be a good thing.

They seem to have done well with Spain and that region in terms of CEV (I think it is) so now to expand on that can only be a good thing as, after all, as you say, there will be capable riders outside of the region of recent concentration.

And again I will say ........... good work Puig for all that you have provided across the years in talent terms. Let us not forget that (even if the guy can be a right royal .......)

Carmello insisted I took his business card.
On the front its Dorna with MotoGP,
On the back its SBK, CEV Repsol, Shell Advance Asia talent cup.

And phone number :p

As an Aussie mate I am to bloody cheap to call .............. Overseas costs from here are damn expensive, so I will just email him instead and say that Shovel left Carmelo's card in the club

If Maverick wins next weekend, call it, put on an Italian accent and tell him he's summoned to a meeting in a motorhome at Jerez.

Oh I don't know, you have the likes of Sasaki and Toba coming through moto3 now. They both have performed really well the last two seasons in the rookies. I expect them both to be running at the pointy end before the end of season and championship challengers next season.
Time will surly tell.
