if they got rid of tc i think a lot of tyre problems would go with it. i remember they could not under stand why mccoys tyres lasted even tho he was lighting them up on every corner (damn i miss that guy). 1 reason i heard was, hard traction like were getting with the 800s pulled the rubber away from the tyre carcase whereas spinning it up didn't and actually made the tyre run cooler.
i dont think stones were in motogp when this style was common, they came into the game in the last few years when keeping the wheels inline was the style adopted "i think"
Spinning the tyre creates surface temperature but that doesn't actually cause a deteriation in the tyre performance, it was a popular topic when Capirossi was spinning the hell out of the early Ducatis 990's. The trouble is that spinning isn't going forward so it always needs to be limited for optimum speed, whether thats by man or machine.

i believe this year could have been totally different if it was down to rider capabilities isnt that what racing should be about???
If you want the pinnacle of motorcycle prototype racing you must also expect the pinnacle of motorcycle technology. Thetechnology has become very advanced now and people have started complaining, there is always superbikes.
