The 990's

I've followed "The Premier Motorcycle Championship" for many years..
This past Sunday morning was the first time I have EVER left 9 laps in..and went back to bed....

Bring back the 990's....Toss out the Traction Control.... I've never liked parades...not even as a kid.

Would love to see it mate but how `too` fast would they be now if bought up to date with current development.They may be too fast for some tracks now plus they would need some mighty investment and development of the tyres (remember Nakano at Mugello).Like I said it would be nice to see without it pushing the threshold of rider safety.......fu christ`s sake theres gotta be a way of bringing back the awesome drift of back wheels to the 800`s

CURVE???...bring back the 990’s the 800’s are much quicker!!! There is much better racing (ok its the first year but give them time!!! Don’t talk bollix!!!...CURVE??? Were you watching the nascar or the f1 or the tennis or may be the cricket, or may be even worse the lawn bowls or worse the darts wc’ps the poker texas hold 'em???...Come on mate!!!...you have to be kidding me!!!...

I would have thought the motoGP was an excellent race!!! Cause I’m a Casey stoner fan!!! ...Oh But!!!....Hang On!!!...You’re a Valentino Rossi fan!!!....Ohhhh Sorry!!...Well CURVE you can go back to sleep till 2008

Now I know if Valentino would have been leading and Casey was 5th or 6th you would have been glued to your monitor irrespective of what the race would have been like!!!...or as the “Fanta” topic suggests if Casey was out of the equation then we would have had????....well CURVE irrespective of who would have lead the championship I would still see every motoGP that is run ‘like I have in the past and in the future’ as I’m addicted, and have been since the first time i saw Barry Sheene and Kenny Roberts riding!!! Back in 1977!!! And it makes no difference to me who is #1 or who is #20, there all heroes to me (with the exception of “stupid riders’) CURVE...I love this sport and all its glories!!!

funny how you named all the things the aussies really suck at there mate,mabe with the exception of the cricket,now thats boring
the 800s mabe be putting in faster lap times at some tracks but this is the only year i have heard so many fan's calling motogp boring or a snooze fest.
to be honest ,the only thing i can remember about misano race was the rdp coming together, mabe i fell asleep too
im not sure what needs to be done, but something does.

it'll get better boy's. new bikes new tire rule it'll settle. theres always gonna be those off seasons & this is 1.

how LONG have you been a Stoner fan?

I don't care if the 800's are "quicker".... the "premier motorcycle" should be a monster to control.. as it has been for decades BEFORE the 800s...you should know that with your "extensive" background in the sport.
I don't care who wins...I want to see a fight not a parade...get over it.

And Drill, come on m8..this is the top of the motorcycle feeding chain brother!...there is no such thing as a motorcycle being "too fast"

I don't think the bikes are the problem, I think its all the electronics.

Rogerm-you have cut us aussies to the quick. I have to agree; we are terrible at darts, particularly compared to the english.

Hey when Roger Lee rode the Kaw RR...he said it was "easier" to ride than his AMA ZX10... sorry, but MOTO GP race bike should NOT be easy to ride...they should be a beast...

Maybe change the fuel rule...that would bring up the ponies...

Yeah Michael...don’t worry about what our mate Roge has to say as he doesn’t know all the facts!!!....

We Are The world champs at...motoGP, Rugby League, Australian Rules (what a joke that is it’s like the NFL!!!) and the 2007 Rugby, Texas Holdem , Cricket...what else do you want us to be great at???...oh and I’m sure I missed out on others...oh “Clay Shooting “Gold medal” to our mr. Diamond!!!....what else Roge???...can you please help me out!!!...

But the most obvious and telling and the one that we really want to get the poms at is...and don’t tell them Michael...its......psssss...."We Will Very Soon Beat The Boys at their own game too... ”Football” ...(but we’ve done that too, in friendly games) but this time it will be without any excuses!!!...were chipping away at the most precious thing for the Brits..lol...

What else well there is not much else that our fatherland can beat us at!!!...as most of them are over here!!...you know these Brits are a Bedouin type...what with all of them wondering and getting ripped off in Spain, France, Portugal but one thing is for certain they will never get ripped off in Australia!!...we love yah boys/girls especially the gals...good sorts...

When West finished his first ride on the Kawasaki GP bike he said it was by far the hardest race of his life, motogp bikes are not easy to ride.

Yes CURVE he came 10th and he was riding a factory bike, on the most known racetrack that his talents have possesed him!!!...If his brother Nicky can’t do it on a Kawasaki then I’m sure Roger Lee can’t do it on a Kawasaki CURVE!!! What!!...this guy was riding the AMA bike then he switched to the motoGP...surely there must be an advantage to him...and btw; Kawasaki stated that the only reason Roger Lee is in the team is because he “knows the Laguna circuit”!!!...It dint do him much good!!...He won the AMA on the track!!!...So CURVE let’s see the great Roger Lee’s talents all over the world mate, on every track around the world???...and comparing me to what he knows is very stupid, as I don’t for a moment express, admit that I’m as good a rider as these guys are!!...but CURVE...I do know about racing, riding as I’ve been doing it for over 37 years mate!!!....

I agree with Frosty, you have to give the new bikes some time. I know the electronics are a big factor in racing now but I for one would like to see most of them eliminated and put the control back into the riders hands. Now I'm not saying the current riders today don't know how to ride, I mean come on these guys have more skills than most mortal humans will ever know, lets see who can harness all that power without the help of a computer.

Roge "What about the old “Global Warming"??? ..Yes I know F--k the Global Warming!!!...

You know motoGP has some sort of responsibility towards our world's environment mate!!! And the 500’s would be to controversial...(Two strokes are being banned all over the world!!) but if you’re a Honda, Yamaha fan then it would be great!!!...

But Roge we can’t go backwards...the 500’s would be deadly, suicidal, kamikaze bikes to bring back!!! Not that these current riders couldn’t ride them!!! It would just be a step in the wrong direction I would think!!!
