Is it only me or have the BBC just seriously undone much of the good work they acheived this year? Whenever golf, snooker or tennis runs over (all very dull to me) everything else gets knocked back. We then have the absolute best riders in the world within minutes of completing a cracking race and it gets cut to go over to rugby league, oddly enough a highlights session of the Hull - St Helens game, not even live!
I like my rugby yes, but to cut Moto GP for something we already know the result of?
Another fine example of why the BBC should not demand a licence fee. It is about time they became optional instead of another mandatory tax for a business that clearly would not function if it were to be thrown into the commercial television world!
Yes, I am writing to them and complaining. Should you feel similarly here is the link you need.

Does anyone understand the logic at the BBC? What the hell was the producer/director or which dumb ... thinking..................when they decided to pull the race with 5 laps to go for as mentioned above, a fecking highlighten rubgy game????????????

Enough's enough now and its time Dorna looked seriously about the choice of provider in the UK for motoGP coverage. Honestly, I'd rather have adverts and the race be shown on Channel 4 than let the BBC continue to ruin the sport in the UK.

Gonna get my digi box this afternoon...........Eurosport here I come.

Whats going on here?? I watched the gp on bbc1 and nothing was cut...they even stayed with the broadcast while waiting for the restart, was a great race btw.

Looks like this was a BBC North problem only. Still sucks though!

Sucks big time.............................I've managed to avoid the result somehow and trying to get someone to tape the reply tonight on Eurosport for me..no luck
<

I even navigated to the paid content on motogp.com without seeing the result!!...but they hadnt posted the race videos when I last looked.

And too top it off, I went down to argos this aft to buy a digital freeview box so I can watch top-up TV (which has eurosport).................just so happens I get get a freakin signal in my area even though they check my postcode!

Grrrrrrrrrr

bbc was fine ere too ben they stayed right through and when hayden came onto the rostrom then they cut out.. eurosport is great but the adverts kill it 4 me a 43 minute race with 2 or 3 adverts stupid in my book, they dont advert on live football do they/ thats 45 mins

It was just BBC north
<

Anyway, I caught the last 5 laps late last nice as I paid for motogp.com's videos

The BBc response to cutting coverage short this week in some areas.

Motorcycling coveragePublication date: 01 Aug 2005

Complaint
We received complaints that BBC coverage of the German Motorcycle Grand Prix was abandoned just before the end of the race in some regions on July 31st.
The BBC's response
We apologise to viewers in some regions of England for ending our coverage of the German Motorcycle Grand Prix during the last few laps of the race and switching to coverage of the rugby Super League Show.
The rugby Super League Show on Sunday was an outside broadcast from Huddersfield and is also very popular with viewers.
It is always difficult balancing different sporting interests when covering live events, and we recognise in hindsight this was not the right decision.

My response to that is yes, the programme from Huddersfield was live but it contained mostly 'experts' prattling on about a game that had taken place the day before and could easily have been shortened to accomodate the overun.

Anyway, balls to the beeb, sky just won £33 per month from me today!

Yep, BBC aint the best for covarage of the bikes, but at least they do show most of them live and they have Suzi Perry!

Im in Worcester(West Midlands) so i was not affected by the cut. Shame they couldnt handle MotoGP AND WSB or BSB too i think.

Also Steve Parrish and Charlie Cox make a very good duo.

i bet there wasn't 200,000 people in the stand at the rugby
<

and i bet more people swithched off when the GP was cut than actually switched on to watch the rugby
<
i know what i mean
it was lucky it wasnt the last race cos even eurosport have a tendency to cut things short
