Alex Barros will race for team Klaffi in the World Superbike championship this season.

The 35-year-old Brazilian quit MotoGP last month after seven wins in 16 seasons because of a lack of good offers from top teams.

"I am very confident and happy to be able to ride again," said Barros, who will ride a Honda Fireblade.

"This is what I love to do and I want to continue pursuing my dream - to win races and be world champion."

hes got the ability and late braking so i can c him doing ok but his age worries me doing 2 races ina day, but hope he does ok..

I imagine late braking on a fireblade would be a lot harder than a 150 kg, carbon braked RCV, though

I liked the way winner just said 'he might not be able to cope with two races in a day'

that was funny!! he aint old and decreped!! He might not have the young spirit in him but what he does have is the experience to know when to go for it and when not to push to hard. see what i mean?

Im not exactly excited about Barros in WSB but i'd like to see him do well.
