Kawasaki are ditching the Metallic green paint job and are going back to lime green from this weekend!

I like the current colour! Apparently most people don't!!!!

I just read the same news. The new colour looked good, but it wasn't proper Kawasaki.

I preferred the metallic colour, then again I couldn't give a .... about Kawasaki road bikes. At least Kawasaki are listening to their customers/fans.

Lime green has always been Kawasaki's colours - I'm glad they're going back.

Maybe I'm showing my age, but I was thinking I liked the retro metallic look.... I have allways assumed the Lime green was the "newer" as it came in in the "plastic tank" era of motorcycling ( yes I am old
<
<
) ...... but I am thinking of the original KX's with the metal tanks and white guards .... ( ok dirt bikes I know .. sorry
<
) I have vague memories of riding an old 900 with a tank that colour as well .. or was it darker??)

I like the metallic ... but must admit I thought of it as an old colour

Dammit. They had the best looking
bikes on track!

Guess it is colour we associate with them tho...

The Kawasaki team green colour are/is/were lime green...it’s been that way since day one...or two...but in 1970 Kawasaki‘s H1R Grand Prix Racer was “Lime Green”... Raced by the famous Canadian racer Yvon Duhamel...so Kawasaki should get back to their roots and keep it “Lime Green”...totally agree!!!...good move Kawasaki!!!

The kawasaki's the best lookin jap bike out there by far anyway!

nah... the m1 is better lookin

i personally peferred the new metallic paint job.

it made the bike stand out more and looked fantastic close up

it cost a bloody fortune to change back

all the trucks had to change
all the pits had to change

never mind all the bikes

no wonder they couldnt afford loris wage demand

<

I am glad they went back to the "traditional" green.....as far as the road bikes comment, Kawi is still towards to the top of the performance and tops in the weight catagory for street bikes.....

The H1R...is the BEST LOOKING BIKE!!! Have a look at the exhaust, the frame..etc etc...Come on NOW MATE!!!...frosty58!!!...it just needs a faring...mate!!!

It doesnt get any better looking than that, Ive posted a few H1R and H2R pics in some of the other threads.

The metallic green was nice, but that just screams KAWASAKI to me. Its like when they painted the Yams in the Roberts colour scheme. Bloody gorgeous. Now, Suzuki.....scrap the doobie building paintjob (it woulda worked for Gobert!) and get back to Heron colours and we will all be drooling!

Bye the way CSCVAW, I put pictures of an H2 or H1 flat tracker in the petrolhead zone along with an RD 400 tracker. I think you may appreciate them

Pete

I love that Kawasaki claim they are making the color change to appease
their loyal fan base.

What they meant was. Hopper is coming on board and Monster Energy
already told us we have to go back to Lime Green for next season.
We're making the change now b/c our core fans hate this shade of green anyway.

Well that sucks. They took a cool looking bike and made it lime green. I wonder what Monster thinks?
