Other than the anomaly that is Ducati at this track, Rossi would have been the top qualifier. Leaving both Marquez and Lorenzo behind. The tire advantage is deafening if not defining.

Baring some anomaly, I expect Rossi to "win".

If you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks.

Tire advantage my .... Lorenzo has won on the new Michelins. Honda was having issues prior to getting two back to back rounds with wet weather that were flag to flag.

Iannone going with a soft front and medium rear. He is clearly planning on checking out early, but can he make those tires last till the end?

Rossi along with most of the field has opted for Medium Front, Hard Rear.

Iannone went with Soft Front, Medium Rear.

Very bad decision by Iannone.

Well definitely didn't think Ducati could keep it up for this long, but the gap is large enough that there's no reason they should not win this race now.

This track is awful for bikes. Dull as .....

Still makes me wonder what that contract impasse was over and if Iannone thinks it was worth it.

If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that I'd be bummed if AI won, I would have laughed at you. Yet here we are.

Ducati totally didn't deserve that win. Neither one. Just a fluke. Pay no attention. Move along.

Well, they won at a circuit that was new to the MotoGP calendar.

Are there any other new circuits on the calendar left? Rhetorical question, so don't answer.

Pretty much my feeling.

But it highlights the problem with Dovi at large IMO. He can't get it done when he needs to. But he should be happy since Lorenzo will be his teammate and he might have a chance to shine.

Good excuse for Stoner not wildcarding. Wouldn't have been right for him to wildcard even if he had a chance of winning when the permanent riders were capable of a 1-2 anyway.

I absolutely would have stood up and cheered if Dovi stuffed him at some point during the race. I would love to see Dovi go there just once on him. I think even Ducati would approve.

Wrong....great decision

Indeed.

I forgot Dovi folds when it counts.

I'll tell you what though Migs, at least I am willing to make the prediction before the race starts. Something I haven't seen you do. ;)

Hahahaha. What cracks me up with Dovi is he didn't even make some kind of effort to get P1 back. A man content to be second if there ever were one.
