Question for those who bought the Motogp Village VIP package in the past. I'm thinking of getting two tickets and bringing my father as he's never been and want the best experience for both of us. I see on the official motogp site they offer a two day pass to their Village VIP area Sat-Sun for $1132.42 per ticket.
https://tickets.motogp.com/en/20981...P-Village-/10911-MotoGP-VIP-Village-/product/

After viewing the COTA's official ticket page, they too offer a VIP package deal, however this one includes a 3 day pass Fri-Sun. for $999.00 per ticket (minus hotel) https://cotaexperiences.com/2019-austin-motogp-championship/paddock-club

Can anyone tell me what is the difference besides one offering 3 days and the other only 2? Does one offer better viewing areas, or offer better features? I'm trying to have the highest quality experience for both of us. Thank you.

We went to Austin with Pole Position Travel and had the time of our lives, book through them, out of Europe a VIP pass gives you free Paddock access and more than likely gets you sponsoring a team and then in their garage we ended up sponsoring Cal Crutchlow which they then allowed us on the pit wall, and out on Parc Ferme after the qualifying and after the race to say it was cool was an understatement, 3 days is better:cool:

I am booked again for this year. Whoop! I missed a couple years because of health issues. What I don't like is that I can't park in A, where I use to park. I looked at those tickets.

I spend too much on Hotel and food/drink to add in other stuff at the track. It is okay. I have met and known many famous persons. The need isn't there to do pits or photoshoots, anymore. I like shooting the races. I have a newer 500mm lens, so things should be better, ....... ah bigger.

Aren't you in the grandstands where you can't see ....? Yeah, pretty much.

People are strange.

With the VIP pass at Assen i could walk around to the different corners of the track and walk up into the grandstands, tho the grandstands were off limits on Sunday when it was most crowded. Plus you get access to parts of the tower where you can see the whole track. VIP passes at Austin are an even better deal as far as I can see. In Europe you don't get access to the "club" rooms or suites or whatever they're called as they're filled up with corporate .........s - tho if you weren't dressed like a bum, it wasn't that hard to casually walk past the security doufusses.

with VIP you can go just about anywhere watch from where ever you want... though you only get the free drinks and food in your hospitality suite. usually I grab 2 drinks (jack and coke) then wander the paddock, most of the riders are easy to talk to as are the team members.

Thanks for the info guys, I ended up getting two VIP Platinum passes through pole position travel. They are a bit pricey but they will allow us not only access to the VIP Village suite, paddock Fri-Sun but also sponsor a team, visit the pit wall, and go down to the Motogp starting grid before they do their warmup lap on Sunday. Can't wait for April!

You defo going? I missed it last year, but seriously thinking of going for 2019.

Anyone going pm me your phone #. Been a while since there was a proper Powerslide meetup.

Anybody going to the Pole Position Friday night dinner? Every year they have featured a MotoGP rider - in the past they've had Kevin Schwantz, Yonny Hernandez, Danilo Petrucci, Eugene Laverty, Sam Lowes as well as several Moto2/3 riders including Brad & Darryn Binder, Luis Salom and others. The event includes dinner, beer and wine.

I figure it's a good way to meet other fans. Once at the track everybody is too busy rubbernecking and taking pictures.

Well, aren't WE special. :p

I am not booked for that. However, it would be nice to meet-up and shake-hands with other MotoGP fans. I will buy the first round, anywhere, anytime. :drinks:
I am sitting in da' curves, btw.

There is a very good Italian restaurant that I hit every year when I go. If anyone is interested we can make reservation for a group. It AIN'T cheap, however! Just another idea.

PM me yer phone number and I will text mine back so it'll be easy to meet up. Plenty of good Italian where I am - so planning on good BBQ and Tacos when not eating at the track.

I'm pretty sure that if I do end up going with work, I'm not going to get enough notice to buy tickets. Like, I'll only find out the week before.

Maybe next year...
