Audi make really ugly concept bike based on Duc 848

Car maker do stuff like this, 


 


Make an ugly concept bike that shows nothing at which direction they are going to take Ducati, then wax lyrical about their own stellar motorcycling history.

It looks like something from Minority Report,  hideous.  Although that one photo I think third from the bottom with the tailinght lit up looks somewhat passable.  Audi needs to take a page from what BMW have done with their superbike. 

To be fair to Audi, it would appear that this pathetic effort (a sketch, a couple of renderings and a faked clay model) was produced by a couple of French fruits. It didn't come from inside Audi.


 


Andy's point concerning the appropriation of history is a fine one. Seriously, WTF. Audi never owned DKW. They were under the Auto Union umbrella alongside them. DKW had not produced a motorcycle in decades by the time the Audi name reappeared under VW. Stupid ......

That thing is fugly.


 


All the future/robot/scifi ........ aside, the proportions are so wrong.

I expected to see a r8 themed bike, not a wanna be electric powered style...
