erm........erm......errrr. How about the tracks are all completely straight, as soon as we get to the twisty ones the true order will be revealed and Stoner will be last where he belongs

Yes well we all knew that the NickyH thing wasent going to last further than 2006 even then it was touch and go, so they all had to get in there in 2006....but all the CS and aussie fans are here to stay!!!...
Tom may be as I said before motogp will have to go on ICE, SLOPING TRACK's or just keep racing in the states where nicky knows all the tracks...or ask every other rider which is his favourite track or the one that he is the quickest on and do it that way....or better still put stoner on a hinda or yamie....

I think the only way to stop Stoner from being the best rider in the world right now would be to have every race at Mugello, because other than that Casey seems to have it covered from every angle.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>please enough and bring this back to what its supposed to be about!

Ok krazy91...well what do you want us to talk about Casey how well he did 1:37:828, he was worried a little from my judgement when he came into the pits that the front end was a little to sticky and the rear was gripping to well to the assen tarmac and tomorrow he is going to do a VR and let all bathe in his glory and then with 1min 40 seconds remaining he will post a 1:35:928 lap record...hows that krazy91!!!

I was watching the live feed this mornin before work...looked like a nice day... whats the weather forcast looking like at Assen??? i'm sick of rain races.

It’s a sore and unfomfortable issue for anybody who can't stand to see anybody else win, that's the problem.

You Aussies are going about fine. Casey is on top and therefore it makes sense that he should be the point in topic.

Moving on: Yes, the Hayden fans are still here. We have always been a few, even last year. I should know, I spent most of my time defending his accomplishments from people who, like on this thread, are trying to steer the topic again away from the painful fact that there are other riders who also want to win and challenge for a title.

As far as practice goes. Its only practice, however, its exceedingly amusing to see how Stoner keeps shattering all the early excuse and rationalization making during the first few rounds of this season. I must admit, that the excuse making has decreased, though yes there are still a few die hards that still want to point to his Ducati and tires for answers to explain why their boy isn't winning. But perhaps the new strategy is to say something along the lines: Yes, you Aussies, stop talking about Stoner, its just practice. (Anything to stop talking about the reality).

As for Hayden, nice to see that his pace from last race did show some improvement and this particular practice seems to back that up. But then again, all this can change in an instant, as it did last race. I'm rooting for him come rain or shine, win or loss.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (krazy91 @ Jun 28 2007, 02:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>what I am enjoying is all the different manufacteurs around the top hopefully it stays dry and its competitive at the front!

Same as. It's great to see so many teams competitive this season rather than just Honda, Yamaha and Ducati and a few occasional exceptions. I too hope its a dry race. I hope Casey doesn't disappear again at the front, I'd like to see a good fight at the front like at Catalunya a few weeks back.

Yes good one jumkie I agree Nicky is doing quite well under the circumstances and he is a great guy to boot, like him. Well it’s only natural when you get a youngster like Casey who is really and I’m not being one sided, but with all due respect to Nicky last year he only won 2 races all season but he played it smart and got the job done, and Val well he still great, greatest but the guard is changing and as I observed him in QP2 he looked a bit lost and that is on the track and in the pits.

When Val retires motoGP will not be the same!!! He is a great character on and off the track...but we always have Lorenzo....good help us...tying to imitate Val...Not the same!!! It might be for the Spanish fans but there will be only one Valentino Rossi!!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (L8Braker @ Jun 28 2007, 12:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Yea, there are still Nicky fans here, we haven't gone anywhere.

He's had his day he should retire and give the seat up to someone in the 250s waiting to move up. moto gp needs new people like antony west . I know you'll argue "but its the bikeee its not built for him its rubbish"...but tis funny whenever anybody argues rossi's case about his bike + tyre problems people say tis moaning

he has gone a bit mental of late he must be signed up for next year or he wouldnt ride so bizzarely.

This could just as easily be a comment about Rossi.

I agree, Hayden hasn't got to grips with the 800 thing yet, but he's getting there now. However there is no denying the Honda is a poor bike compared to the others.

i dont think nicky should consider that quite yet, i recon he will surprise people towards the end of the season, he needs to adjust his style, point and shoot aint working,he need more of a 250 carry loads of corner speed style. this season is a learning curve for him i think.

whattt of all the stupid things to say. Rossi is second in the championship ... Hayden is 12th =/. Bit of a difference!

My point is that its easy to just claim a rider has had his day and should retire, but as you have quickly pointed out being worse off than he used to be donesn't mean its time to quit. Riders with that attitude to not make it to this level, and i would be massively disappointed in a rider if he quit because he had half a bad season.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tinks @ Jun 28 2007, 04:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>maybe so but he'll i dont think him or melandri will ever be as good as they were the last 2 seasons

I wouldn't be so sure, they are both young and very talented riders with a lot more left in them yet. Remember they are both riding a troublseome bike and having trouble getting to grips with the 800cc rules. It is too early to have seen a convincing pattern yet.

Oh this isn't a hater quip. Yeah, the reigning champ who is still young should retire. (Who also improved his standing every year since he started in MotoGP, except, oddly this year). Umh, just in case you haven't noticed, Honda hasn't won one race, and that's with a guy who was suppose to inherit the title (Pedrosa). Ask yourself this question, when was the last time Honda did not win a race within the first 8 rounds of a season? Yeah, there isn't any talent on Honda this year, just look at all those guys on a Honda who have never won a race.

If Rossi would have listened to your type of advice, he would have quit and retired after being down 51 points last year. Hello, its called a bad stint, and all riders have them, even the "gods" of the sport.

Just because Rossi is getting beat, you don't have to go to the old card of bashing Hayden to get your lame kicks.

tinks...you can't be serious...retire? Doesn't matter if the bike was built for him or not, there are(were) obviously some issues with the bike or Pedrosa would have most likely stood on the top podium once or twice by now. And I don't think anyone will argue with me when I say Pedrosa's small frame and 250 riding style has more than made up for the deficiencies of the bike. As far as new people, do you mean non-American people? If so I don't think you will have to worry about that with the way the AMA is doing things over here, not too much in the way of talent with the exception of Spies who in my opinion is too big to ride in MotoGP with its current engine rules. There are some new people coming to MotoGP so you won't need to worry about that. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any unique characters like Rossi coming.
