Okay I'm ordering up some rain...let's mix this one up a bit.

Its only a piece of software thats making Stoner one second faster, not skill.

I must admit this is not what i want, i like a close race battle and whoever wins fairplay to them.

Up to Yamaha to respond now.

All you Rossiboppers and CS fanatics are fcking ridiculous. Yes, Rossi is as close to God as we have seen on modern four-strokes. Yes, Stoner IS really this fast. No, the Yamaha is not the most capable bike on the grid. No, the Ducati does not ride itself.

Fck off and get on with it.

<

Stoner adjusts his bike to get he best out of it ....... as does every other rider ..... what is your point!??

seriously now barry f off, if ur not gettin my post and your gettin on my nerves,

what the hell are you talking about?

i didnt say he shouldnt adjust anything
i didnt say he shouldnt get an upgrade
i didnt say he shouldnt fix the bike

i was saying that he has been riding quicker since he got his new electronics, wtf is wrong with that???
rossi is waiting on new parts which are overdue and honda

your such an ..., your only here when stoner does well and you get on your high and mighty.

""Stoner adjusts his bike to get he best out of it ....... as does every other rider ..... what is your point!??""

obviously there are different settings for every track???????

im just saying that ducati raised there game again (like last season) and yam and honda better get onit or we will see 07 again, dont try to make it look like im saying this stuff u think i am.

i really dont get what ur poking at?

i agree what happend here was i was saying why i thought stoner was quicker and said it will make for a closer championship but maybe not racing......

we knew stoner was quick anyway that all i said was that since stoner has got the upgrade he now got the edge, also yam and honda caught up begining of the season but now ducati has raised the bar again, i also said honda and yamaha should respond before its to late........

now barry has comeback to the forum "only" to cause arguments and try and make me look stupid, he cant respond in a civilised manner.

i cant even mention stoner anymore cos barry likes to think im not giving credit also making out im trying to make my own rules for stoner.... the guy is such an ....

If only that would make them all stop, eh.

Stoner looks to be the pace setter again this round & seems to be back on track to win races consistently again.. He's my early pick to win just ahead of Pedrosa and the Yamaha contingent.. Watch out for Vermuelen he can show his talent here at a real riders track!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Jun 27 2008, 05:42 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>If only that would make them all stop, eh.

yeah it was just some suggestions in the beggining then.......... barry and pink wade in, i can handle pinky cos hes just crazy and says stupid stuff which u just laff ur .... off at, but barry gets personal and that when it gets hairy , we all laff and joke saying pedro this , stoner this ,rossi that but barry goes to far.

rather than read my post he see's i mention stoner and automaticly assumes im trolling.....

if he was here when stoner was doing just ok then he would see what i was saying but instead he just tries to wind me up but this time hes really pi me off

this thread was fine before he crawled from under his rock.

First post, here goes.
I think the race will be a closer affair between Rossi & Stoner.
Of the last six races here Rossi has won four.
Stoner's second here last year was his best result at this track previously coming 4th on a 990 and 6th before that on a 250cc. Not sure the track is one of his strongest.
Hopefully a closer race than it seems it will be.

It may not be my place and I expect to see one of curves STFU NOOB pics

Jazkat why let it bother you. Over the last few days I've been reading I've seen certain names make very stupid posts its obvious there are many trolls here just wanting to annoy people and they do a good job of it. Do we not have an ignore button? (Real shame about the trolls. Dare I say it, imo this the best two wheeled forum I've come across)

On topic I'm waiting to see how it pans out today but I expect to see a similar race to Donny

Rossi has immediately asked Yamaha for new and better electronics to measure up to Ducatis developement,he has said he will probarbly get the upgrades at Brno.
After that there might be closer racing maybe?
I think electronics is going to be just about the only upgrade enginewise on all the bikes in the near future.

From Autosport

Rossi urged Yamaha to pull out all the stops and speed up development of their own engine software in an effort to match the Ducati for pace[/b]. But he added that he feared it would be difficult to do this before MotoGP's month-long summer break, which begins after Laguna Seca on July 20.

"We are already working in the same direction to make for better acceleration, but it is not ready yet and we are waiting for new software as soon as possible," he said.

Rossi fast because of software? Laughable.

I think Kevin Cameron (legend) summed it up quite nicely. In reference to Stoner and the Ducati riding itself. "Closed meeting at Ducati. Stoner is costing us a lot of money, frankly we don't need him. There's a floor sweeper, I see him in the lunch room sometimes... we'll put him on the bike. If that were the case then you would have a reason to get rid of electronics, otherwise its a still a human sport"

Jon, some people just love trolls. (I kinda sorta do, but in a funny kinda way).

I recognise your point totally and can see the reasoning behind it, but don't agree in entirety.

Yes, certainly the Software upgrade has helped CS and the Ducati since it was made available, but without CS' innate ability to 'trust' the software and make full use of it's benefits, the 1 second improvement may well be less. But, with that said it also argues your point which (correct me if I am wrong) is that without the software, CS would not have been in a position to make better use of the benefits of the software upgrade.

Does that kind of cover it?

Mind you when comparing times from one year to the next it is not all about software anyway as there are many aspects that should have improved across that time from tyres, though the machine and (IMO) even the rider should improve from one year to the next.

Stoner was tearing it up right from the get go last year so came to Assen in a better rhythm than this year and look what Rossi managed to do in that race. What's to say we don't see more Rossi magic tomorrow.

Maybe we could, the rain and Michelin vs Bridgestonetires and their developement from last year is also a factor.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Jun 27 2008, 05:54 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Spies is in Assen to race. If Capirossi had've said that his fracture was making riding impossible Spies could have, according to the rules, stepped in before the second practise. As it was it was FP2 and too late. So he didn't even have a decision to make. He's a racer and would've been on the bike if possible. It sounds like everyone started with the same setup they had in Donnington so he could have got going right away one practise behind or not. I am still not happy that they only have one bike on the grid and don't buy the line the arm wasn't a factor in the crash.
check some post before yours and you'll discover that:
Acording to the rules he HAD a choice and he turned it down. They could replace loris until 12.00 hrs. on the final day of qualifying.
Spies said NO.

20 mnts to go and CS did only 5 laps and SG is leading ..

Could anybody tell what is happening??

EDIT

Can't imagine Guintoli leading by 1.5 secs

Thats a great post Jumkie. I must check in on that thread more often. So we do have an ignore button then or chciken .... button as you called it
<

Sorry for going off topic again, This is the last I'm going to say on the matter, I agree with your post 100%. The trolls add great comedy to the threads and it should be seen as such but then it wouldn't be as funny if nobody took offence. I've no intention of using the chicken .... button, I dont want to miss out on the fun but I'll never understand why somepeople take things personal online.

Thanks for the welcome, I'll be sticking around. Did I mention I think this site is the best
