I realize 99.999999999% of everything he says is just simply trolling. I've tagged him as much. But I want to see if there is a shred of reason and an ability to articulate behind that brain of Pinky. So in this case, yes, I actually would like to know why he thinks Spies, after missing two practices; on an already short schedule is "chicken ...." for not rushing into a very dangerous and technically demanding sport. I'm wondering if he can debate and carry a point with reasonable and logical articulation. (Am I crazy? --maybe) I suppose I just want to give him a chance to turn from his two-line dig quips and carry an intelligent conversation.

pinky is exactly like the cartoon pinky and the brain the only thing is that brain is missing so thats all you get is totall nonsense.

he cant undertand what people are trying to say and we cant understand what the hell he goes onabout, its pinky that needs to change his approach.

sometimes you just want a civil conversation here and discuss things and try to understand the technical side of things but usually barry and pinky just wade in, dont read your posts and give a nobheaded reply.

All you haters and crybabies saying that it is going to be a runaway, all I can say is, GOOD!!!!! Just cause Ducati is out front by a decent margin and it isn't Rossi in the lead some of your posts are so stupid and it shows the fanboys out there. I hope for a good race but I want the Ducati in the 1st place position. All the others let God sort them out. Except for Pedrosa who can go home now for all I care.

you wanna read your own posts .

I just caught the clip of Loris going down. Man that was a high speed wipeout. He just slid forever and then the bike slid over his head. No way was that going to turn out good.

Hopefully he is okay but it sounds like Spies is going to have to take over.

If I remember correctly (and I do), I said the obvious result of a season contaminated by engineered results in the early rounds is a season that suddenly reverts to 2007 all over again. Here we are. Stoner is once again .7 faster than everyone else.

Good to see Nick at the pointy end.

No need to go into any conspiracy theories since Ducati (and Stoner himself) have been quite candid about the nature of the improvement: it was a simple software upgrade that has made the power much easier to deliver.

Then what do you make of his bewilderment when he received his real tires after LeMans?

He been going pretty well since then. Besides Donny, the races haven't been flawless, but I haven't seen him go slower than he did in 2007

Stoner: LINK

"I'm able to use harder compound tyres again and I'm just getting a better feel for the whole bike in general, without it bucking and weaving everywhere. We had a couple of moments today where it thought about trying to spit me but nothing to worry about."

Yeah no ......the computer took over

Maybe you should read what Ducati and Stoner have told the press. If they say it's been a software upgrade, why do you say it's something else?

Spies Turns Down Suzuki Ride
by julian ryder, on the ground in the nd, people
Thursday, June 26, 2008

Ben Spies has turned down the chance to replace Loris Capirossi in the Dutch TT after the Italian crashed in this afternoon's free practice and injured his right arm. Spies decided to turn down the opportunity after missing the first day of practice (Assen always runs on a Saturday). As well as the prospect of giving the field a days start, he has also seen the weather forecast, which is not wholly favorable, and is mindful of the Indianapolis MotoGP test next week.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Jun 26 2008, 08:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>And it's against the rules I guess. Too bad it's a missed opportunity.
Yes,Denning said on Suzuki's report today that a team has until noon the first day to decide for a replacement rider to run.
Besides Spies didn't want to jeopardise his further testing in Indy in a week when he knows to race here at Assen and do well is very nearly impossible.
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/26062008/23/...-capirossi.html

It is double boring now that Loris is out and there will be no Spies.
If Stoner has a run away victory is fine with me as long as a Ducati is winning.
Rossi seem really worried about Stoners new electronics and has immediately ordered(i mean requested)one from Yamaha.

Im going to be honest,im disappointed in Spies.Even if he did miss a couple of hours of practice, the track time would be invaluable for next year if for track knowledge alone.I said on another forum i thought this was all about being named the rider for Assen and then having it .......I dont care if he runs last, which would be pretty hard to do with Melandri out there cruising, just getting a little knowledge of the track would be worth the weekend.

It has been pointed out already, but to make it completely clear :

He can't race 'cos it's against the rules. A team picks the rider for the weekend by noon day 1, ie Suzi picked Capi before he crashed in FP2.

All the press ........ about Spies deciding not to 'cos of the weather/indy practise/lost track time is exactly what it says on the tin - .........

A MotoGP team can replace a rider at any time up until 12pm on the second day of a meeting.
That was Spies choice.

Very upset to hear Spies won't be running this weekend. He's pretty much handed the win to Stoner.

I made some research and it was legal to replace Loris with Spies
