Looking forward to Assen this weekend. Hopefully, it will provide excellent racing.
After FP2, everyone is in their normal spots in SBK. Redding has improved slightly. Baz is still the top BMW. Haslam has taken over for Cresson, and he's circulating in roughly the same spot as BSB. Not sure if that's a win. We'll see if his experience pays off in the races. Honda still underachieving. After an FP2 crash, Lecuona and Vierge are both banged up.
WSS looks roughly the same as last week. Usual suspects upfront. Bulega is still the only person capable of setting up and riding the Ducati. Next closest Panigale is .5 back. Not too surprising, imo, since the state of tune is so low, the riders probably need time to adjust.
Overall, I'm disappointed to see that Suzuki haven't made an effort to support any of the new rules structures. They still have no one in SBK and no one in WSS. I thought they would have dipped their toe in the water by now, but I guess they don't really see any long term benefit in these rules. I guess the GSXR-750 is never getting throttle by wire.
