Just read David Emmett's take on this at MotoMatters, and he makes a good point; it's odd that Aprilia is planning a return to MotoGP one year before major changes are made to the rulebook. Emmett thinks that Aprilia is using the announcement as a way to divert attention from the lack of new machines from Aprilia, and I can see where he's coming from on that. Still, I'd love to see a competitive

prototype on the grid, although who knows if that will ever happen.

The key word in that release is "aiming". One of the favorite sayings in the south is " I was aiming to get that done, but never got around to it". They might as well of said, we are thinking about getting back into  Moto GP  in a couple of years.

My first thought was "i will believe it when i see it".  As for the Cube being .... ??  I loved that bike and everyone i know who saw it race in real life has an insane affection for it. The bike was mad and the noise it made was like a thunder storm. Its problems were huge power and no real way of controlling it with its at the time under developed fly by wire throttle system. It was like on and off with nothing inbetween was Laconni's comment.
