I got my tickets sorted this week so I am mega excited.

I will certainly take your tips onboard...sort of planned to drink and eat as much as possible, whilst sitting down and watching bikes...in the evening, I may drink and eat some more

i went last year and maybe again this year prays

bloody fantastic, youre gonna love it. we sat in the stadium area on what seemed like a single blade of grass. get there early and mark your territory because it gets absolutely packed! we were sat near the pack of Pesek fans, i thought vale's were mental but they got nothing on those guys!

I was there last year.
Had the cheapest tickets (A, B, D, E) and I would buy them again. Most of the time we spent on D. Here's the view

What tickets do you have?

Saturday is cool, but on sunday you really have to mark your territory, like stop_killing_dead_things said. My only problem was sun, it was ruthless!!

Most people don't speak English.

Where are you going to stay? 4 months ago I was trying to check the hotels (I thought we're going this year) and I found only two available, but with ridiculous prices.

Pesek fans are everywhere, as well as Talmasci's. I saw lots of Pesek fans changing their red shirts for yellow ones after 125 race

Never been to BRno.. my dad went and said it was an amazing viewing circuit.

I would have to recomend Valencia been ther 06 and 07 season amazing to see hayden lift the championship... Viewing is brilliant see 80% of the circuit.

I went to Brno in 2006.
It was fantastic, even though the race wasn't much of a show. That race was a trailer for the 2007 season, when we witnessed the true power of the Ducati rocket. I read later that on that thursday or friday, don't know for sure, they had tested the 2007 Ducati.

Getting there and settling in:
-We slept in Velke Bilovice, a small town about 100km away from the track. It wasn't expensive at all.
-To get to the track you basically have to go to Brno on the motorway and just follow the signs for "Automotodrom Brno".
-Once you've arrived, you'll be directed to the parking lot and to your space, by the employees. After which you just follow the road up by foot a few km i'd say. Now the important issue here is where you are located. I went to General Admission at turns 7-8. The view was perfect and because i had my 12x zoom camera, i took some good shots. The great thing about Brno is that it is a track through the hills, so you get a great view of the race, plus there are big screens so you don't miss out on the rest of the fun.

The race:
-The fun starts at about 9 in the morning and lasts all the way to about 4pm. Don't bring food or anything, you'll find it all there. Fast foods, drink stalls, it's all there. And because the Czech are notorious beer consumers, there won't be any shortage of that(try Budweiser).
-You will hear the noise of the bikes when they are about 3-4 turns away, they are loud machines(the GP bikes sound like a 1000cc 2-stroke would
<
) ).
-Between the races there was an airshow last time, dunno what they've prepared for this one.

Hints & Tips:
-Get a map of the track. You'll need it, the track is ....... huge.
-Get an umbrella! Believe me, you'll need it if it's sunny.
-Don't buy expensive stand tickets. There is great view in General Admission too.
-Get a paddock pass. I regreted not getting one. It's not expensive and it's worth taking a walk through the paddock.
-Go everyday from Tuesday to Sunday. There's plenty of fun everyday.
-Have fun!

Thanks for the info Gabi. Much appreciated. How did you get a paddock pass ? Did you buy it in advance from the circuit ?

Thanks

That's the thing, i didn't get one.
I got my tickets from gpticketshop.com. They have great service.
You buy the paddock pass WHEN you buy your tickets. They have the price list on their website.
I got them via UPS and they arrived in Romania in about 3 days.
The paddock pass is good value considering it's not expensive for this track.
