With all news going around this great season, has anyone heard from or about Sr. and Jr. Haven't been able to find anything on the web, and you can smell the dust on their site. My guess is that this is their last year.

Michelin did a test with him and Edwards, that`s all I know.

What happened to the days when Michelin gave all their attention to their fastest riders?

It might be. Kenny's got what he always wanted, a fast motor. Team KR's problem has always been power, never handling, the team has biult some sweet chassis' in the past but if they can't build something around the V5 it'll be difficult for Honda to justify an 800cc engine for kenny next year. A third of the season has gone already and it doesn't seem to be going all that well. I do hope they nail it.

Whate he said. ^^

Anyone think it's possible KRSR gives up on the KR project and goes back to being a team principal and leasing entire bikes like the days of Roberts Marlboro Yamaha? I know his ultimate goal was to prove that a small company can take on the factory giants but the fact of the matter is he can't. I'm pulling for him the whole way but he seems to be absolutely exhausted trying to make it all work. Get a full on Honda 800cc next year, I think Honda might possibly be interested in leasing it to the royal family.

I'm all about the KR project, but lets face it....HRC and Yamaha have virtually unlimited resources...if you can't beat'em...join'm...how big is the KR motor now? 990? Do they even have the money to develop an 800cc mill?

They barely have enough money to be considered a team at the moment. I'm sure the RC211V engine lease isn't cheap. From what I've read, KRSR is banking on Honda providing them with 800cc powerplants in 2007. I still vote for leasing a whole bike from them, think of what Junior could do.

Are you guys putting a bit too much faith in KRJR? I mean, he`s the only guy on the grid other than Rossi with a premier class title to his name, but that was a long time ago. He might be able to do it, but he`s not getting any younger and he`s been in the middle of the pack (Thanks to the GSV
<
) for a long time now. It only took Gibbers and Tamada one year of not being up there with the front runners to lose their edge. Jr might be a bit tougher than them, but it`s been almost half a decade. I`m not saying he can`t do it, but I have my doubts about how much he`s still got left in him. I`d like to see him on a Honda just to see what he`s really capable of, see whater he really is that good or whether the years have taken their toll.
It would be good if old King Kenny could swallow his pride, get a decent sponsor and put Hondas or Yamahas on the grid, and team KR became a proper sattelite team, not only for themselves but for the sport. With Pons gone, Tech 3 and D`antin financially insecure, and LCR`s post-Stoner future looking grim, it would be a good sign to have another sattelite team. I think its the only way KR is gonna survive. These things are just getting too expensive, even for sattelite teams, let alone the guys who build their own bikes. The days of the 500s have passed. King Kenny`s chance to prove that the small guy could beat the big guns went with it. If this crap keeps up, in the future, I don`t think it will be impossible to see a grid made up of ONLY factory bikes, because theyre the only ones who can afford it.

Spot on Richo. I'm not saying Junior would set the world on fire but I certainly think he'd have better results than Tamada. Who knows if he has any drive left but I'd like to see what he's capable of aboard a Honda.

i don't have much faith in krjr at all. his day's are numbered in gp's. sorry fellows never thought much of him. even when he did win the title in 00. he's not his old man.... must have to much of his mother in him.

He's no Senior but he's certainly got more of his talent than Kurtis. Kurtis got the Roberts temper. Just for the record I like and miss Kurtis Roberts.

Completely agree. KRSR was somthing else. I wish I could have seen some of his races. It was before my time but I`ve read a lot about the guy and everything impresses me. His records and achivements, his riding style, his attitude (You guys think Edwards is hardcore

) Really one of my Heros. KRJR just dosen`t seem as legendary as his old man. And his Dani Pedrosa quote....

still use it as my siggy
