in 2008 we have just 18 bikes

Honda - 6
Ducati - 4
Yamaha - 4
Kawasaki - 2
Suzuki - 2

Jorge Martinez want s a Team, maybe he will sign with ducati, but this could mean Alice Ducati will be just 1 Bike team in 2009.
so we would have 1 team more, but just 18 bikes too.

So whats the deal with Kawasaki and Suzuki and having no Satelitte Team, are they not willing or not able?

suzuki and kawasaki are both saying that they want to get their factory efforts competitive before they will consider a satellite team.
fair enough, you dont want your factory and satellite bikes running around together at the back, bad for business.

but it looks like the gap between Kawasaki and the top team is getting bigger.
last year they also have been rumours a bout a 3rd Kawasaki bike on her factory team, but i haven´t heared anythink about this in 2008!
maybe a 3rd factory bike would help, and we would have a bike more on the track

3 bikes or more would spread the already crap resources even more thinly, with the end result being more DNF's and worse results for all 3 bikes..easier to concentrate on 2 bikes or even 1...

I would love Aprilla to come back, the way they dominate 250... i'm sure they could make a competitive 800.

I think that I heard that they don't want to make 4-stroke machinery, because it would cost too much or something like that. That's also why they don't support the four-stroke 600cc class to replace the250cc.

Moto GP class definetly needs more bikes though.

Team KR! They need to be back.

There needs to be a Honda LCR for Yamaha. The small, one bike squad that gives a decent bike.

Suzuki was rumored with Kevin Schwantz last season. Same with Alistar from WSB.

Apparently team Scot and team JIR and going to seperate, that could create an extra team to run a bike if the sponsorship can be found.

I read today that Aspar's talks have fallen appart with all factories now with the exception of Kawasaki and the possibility of running a 3rd factory bike with them.
