I like happy garages too. But as has been said, a rivalry which extends onto the track can only be good for us who are still paying Ezpeleta's salary.

Colin likes to run his mouth. While in many times I support it, when feuding with a teammate, doing so will never benefit the team.

I recall Lewis Hamilton winning something fairly important recently.

Agree.

And I'd like to add, I like both of them. I think the 2.5 sec is being made into way too much considering JT's crash. Lots of respect for Toes to test after that flying squirrel impersonation. I would what Peders would have done after a crash during testing...?

Regard the pic, is it me or does he look like he’s crashing into Armageddon?

Sorry Colin fans.. I like him, but JT is a far better rider.
Ain't gonna happen. I would also bet he looses his ride next year cause he is not gonna do well. I thought JT would have done better than he has but he just doesn't get
gp's. Sorry JT fans but the results are there for all to see!

So Wayne Rooney is overrated? So Lewis Hamilton is overrated? Hell, even Beckham still can bring it on the pitch.

i think what it boils down to is colin was in on the tech3 electronics development so he already had the upper hand and thats why the bike works better for colin, i guess james maybe abit pissy about that?

i pains me to say it but i also thought he would have done better. started off ok but rather than get better he went backwards for what ever reason .

As for he and colin falling out with jt, i aint got a clue whats gone on behind closed doors so ive not really got an opinion. ive always thought of tech 3 to be a good well run team, so if theres been a shuffle round of crew chiefs im sure its for the better.

Pinky, why keep saying daft thing's that make you look a .... ? sometimes your posts are interesting then other times your a ..... Have you got a split personality or does your kid brother keep logging on in your name ?

Good post Rog.

Here's my bit, JT isn't going anywhere (unless he quits or decides for himself to go to WSBK). JT was plenty good last year. He started off great, but I think the season of a few crashes and still learning the bike and track took its toll. At the track he knew (with the exception of Donny) he did well enough. At Qatar and PI, Toes was masterful.

As far as the Tech3 thing about the crew chiefs, none of us obviously know the full story, but I think we can speculate from what's coming out that Colin has basically said there was a bit of foul play and he's pissed about it. And Colin is the type of guy to give it to reporters straight, even if at this point it can look like airing dirty laundry. Make of that what you will.

Pinky, well what can I say that hasn't been said already. I have no use for him.

I think Colin is increasingly threatened by JT. Firstly he comes out saying JT now has no excuse not to win, an obvious attempt to put pressure on which is riddled with the hypocrisy as Colin's results have been rarely above average. Then he goes on to say that he is satisfied with his new crew cheif and that the switch could be for mutual gain, if that was the case he could conceed that Poncheral's decision was a wise one, even if he didn't see it right away. Now he says that he and james aren't talking. Its pretty funny really, we'd have some excellent drama if JT was the type to get into wars of words and such, but don't see it happening.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bikergirl @ Feb 14 2009, 09:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Well if JT really screwed Colin over and talked Poncheral into giving him Colin's crew chief then I suppose Colin's quite within his rights to complain. I would say that indirectly Colin has caused much of the angst.

To me, he has had major opportunity over the last few years and yet has produced very little as well he is (or should be IMO) very close to the end of his Moto career (well, IMO 2008 whould have been it).

Thus, his team manager sees a rider whom he (teh team manager) feel will provide better value in terms of results and perhaps even dollars in the longer term so therefore he ensures that this rider gets the 'tools' that the team manager feels are necessary to achieve. Basically, with his lack of results CE signed his own future (all IMO).

As for the JT is he good enough argument well he has only had one year and yes his results in the second half did drop off somewhat, but so did the rest of the Michelin runner results (exception being the prodigiously talented Lorenzo when upright).

This is the 'make or break' year for Toseland and if his results are acceptable then I suspect he will remain with the Tech3 team through 2010 or even further. IMO he is in the better position that CE to have a future in MotoGP beyond 2009 so it is now for JT to step up a little (little being a few top 5 results and more consistency) and show that he belongs.
